Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick for Spring 2013

Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick I will own you! I’ve not yet tried of chubby tinted sticks of color. I know, I know everyone has one nowadays but I’m just not feeling the repetitive rant as of yet.

Perhaps soon but right now I’m all kinds excited about the new Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick.

Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Sticks offer instant moisture to lips, while continuously conditioning them so they are softer and smoother in as little as three days. Made with fruit extracts along with mango and shea butter, the balm-like formula glides onto lips leaving behind a sheer wash of color.

Shades:

  • Plum Perfect
  • Rich Raisin
  • Juicy Peach
  • Sweet Watermelon
  • Fresh Papaya
  • Bright Berry
  • Warm Caramel
  • Soft Raspberry

I need all of these, like yesterday.

They are $8.99 and a BOGO offer is available at Ulta.com at the moment.

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ulta shows majority of the new arrivals as out of stock 🙁 I want to try these and Ulta.com is the only place I seen them so far. Maybe they will show up at the local cvs, walgreens or target soon….

I got mine at Target and it was $7.99 but I had a $1.50 off coupon, so I got a great.deal. I got it in warm caramel and I love the color. It’s a nude peachy brown color with fine shimmer that I could tolerate. It is also very light and moisturizing and there is a peachy fragrance. Try it out when u can.

I bought two at Walgreen’s the other day, but haven’t tried them yet. I hope that they’re a bit more like Revlon’s Balmstains, than CoverGirl’s Gloss Balms. I like that the former has a very nice color payoff that stays around for quite some time. Others prefer the “more-of-a-true-balm” texture of the CG products. Everyone will have different preferences.

(Maybe I’ll try them tomorrow after I come back from the morning meeting. I’ve even forgotten which two colors I got!! Though I think they were Watermelon and Raspberry.)

  • Angelic Mariposa

I haven’t tried these type either, but I’ve seen the Covergirl and the Queen collection has them too.

  • Branny

Purchased one of these in the “rose” color (not sure which it is!) and it is really nice! Moisturizing, easy-to-wear and apply, and just a perfect light wash of color. I’m looking forward to trying more of them!

I picked up a couple today at Walgreens, but I’m not sure what I think. They have some kind of fruity scent, which I’m not thrilled by, and they give me a kind of almost frosted look on my lips. Maybe it’s just the colors I picked, or maybe it’s the lighting, but so far I think I’d rather stick with the Clinique chubby stick intenses or even the Revlon kissable balm stains.

I’ve seen these at Walgreens and love the shade selection. Neutrogena lip products are underrated imo, so I’m expecting a good experience.

I bought the rich raisin at walgreens. There was a $2 off coupon on the display and I have worn it everyday since I bought it. The flavor/smell is fruity and non plastic-y. I love that. The color is rich and gorgeous. I have warm pale skin (think natalie portman or kiera knightly) and the formula is creamy. I do have to reapply pretty frequently but that is not something that really bothers me. I like this better than the clinique chubby sticks because the color payoff and flavor is better and the formula is creamier.

  • Jessica

They look really nice but I have 4 Clinique Chubby Sticks (wearing Super Strawberry today actually) already and they pretty much look like the colors I already have.

  • Heather

I found them at my WalGreens yesterday 1/2/2013. They look nice but I still have my Clinique Chubby Sticks that are never gonna die! I swear they last for-eva!!!

    • the Muse

gotta admit, all the budget ones are fab bot I love my Cliniqye Chubby Sticks too Heather ;D

  • Christina

Hi Muse and Happy New Year! I did see these at Walgreen’s about a week ago for $8.99, but I finally found them yesterday at Harmon’s for $7.79. Even better IMO, Harmon’s had the new Crease Proof Eyeshadows (oddly, only 4 out of the 6 colors on the Neutrogena website).

    • the Muse

HAPPY New year Christina! ugh don’t want! New Rochelle Harmons? PS do I owe you an email? if so I am SO sorry! been swamped!

  • Christina

Nah, you don’t owe me an e-mail but feel free to write if the Muse moves you! And yes, the Harmon’s in New Rochelle yesterday. They had a few other new things, too, like the Color Tattoos.

    • the Muse

phew! always paranoid I missed replying. We should really meet up there sometime. There looks like a nice bakery/cafe on the corner there every try it? I have to head up there. Prob won’t go until next week though, I’m sick as hay! $7.79 is awesome considering they are $8.99 at Ulta…but Ulta has a BOGO! :-D! PS I went there last week? or the week before? And they had a ton of new WnW goodies did you see that? You totally made my day telling me about that location as I never knew it was there!

  • Christina

I think it would be great to meet up there one of these days, definitely when you are feeling better. Glad you found that Harmon’s as I think it’s one of the best around for new product releases. I did see the WnW stuff but i don’t buy any of their products since all the stuff is made in China.

    • the Muse

I’d love it! we can scout through harmons together for new goods lol! ;-D you didn’t miss much with the wnw anyway, there new lasting lip color is crazy gross so far :-/

  • Bethany

I bought Juicy Peach and Warm Carmel at my Target. Both colors are divine, and the texture is good (with well exfoliated lips). The taste…meh…a strange fruity scent is hard for me to get over, but I love the colors so I am still wearing them anyway. The taste lingers for awhile, so that is the only issue for me. But the colors are so pretty…especially Juicy Peach.

  • melanie

These are amazing! I bought Plum Perfect and warm caramel. Fruity scent / taste not bad. Moisturizing and love the colors. Had a $1 and my local Target is the only one who has them so far. For some reason my local Ulta’s and late getting new drugstore products out. I find the color to last a decent time esp the plum perfect…..

  • Rebecca

I feel this brand is often overlooked, so I will check these out and their new eyeshadow.

  • Heather Stafford

I bought two of these today at Target. Got out to the car and opened them up. The smell was so over whelming that I got back out of my car an went right back in and returned them!

  • Angie

I picked up the soft raspberry today and I love it!!! More pigment for me than the original chubby sticks and it feels very moisturizing. The smell isn’t bothering me at all!!

  • Kristy

I tried the Rich Raisin – the color is ok, but the fruity taste and smell is driving me nuts. I was eating breakfast this morning with it on and just could not stomach the taste of the lip balm mixed with my food. Will be returning.

  • Rachel B.

Hi, have you tried them yet? Just wondering, how do they fair compared to Revlon Lip Balm Stain? Thanks!
