Olay Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture! Satin Finish Lotion Review

Olay recently launched the new Fresh Effects Skincare and with that collection they released a new moisturizer entitled Long Live Moisture! Satin Finish Lotion.

This is a lightweight, soft, satiny lotion that would best be suited for oily or combination skin types. Although drier skin might get a kick out of during the warmer weather!

This is an oil free lotion, yeah, lotion is an excellent word for it because it really isn’t a full blown moisturizer. This is soft, weightless, and doesn’t provide a ton of moisture for those with drier skin but will prove an excellent pick for those with oily skin. The light texture won’t clog pores and provides just enough moisture for oily skin while creating a smooth, satiny finish that gives skin a certain smooth appearance.

The lotion has a thinner, runnier consistency which absorbs easily into skin and sports a fresh scent (this is subtle to my nose but could prove annoying if you’re super sensitive). Although the lotion has a pink iridescence (as you can see it swatches) it doesn’t really produce a glow or highlighted effect on my skin.

All in all it’s a very basic moisturizer so if you’re looking for simplicity it doesn’t get any simpler than this. I personally didn’t like it right at the moment as it is cold out which means my skin is drier but perhaps in the Summer it’ll prove a perfect pick as it doesn’t make my skin greasy or shiny and has an incredibly lightweight feel. I think oily skin users might possibly love it!
