Sephora + Pantone Universe 2013 Color of the Year Pantone Emerald Capsule Collection

I don’t have images yet but I did get a press release for the next Sephora + Pantone Collection featuring Pantone 17-5641 Emerald, the color of the Year for Spring 2013.

I promise to follow up with images as soon as I can but here are some details!

Sephoraa and Pantone proudly announce the 2013 Color of the Year beauty collection featuring Pantone 17-5641 Emerald, available exclusively at Sephora. Sharing a strong passion for how color can transform a face, mood or even an attitude, Sephora and Pantone continue to change how you wear, feel and think about color through the second annual installment of this radiant and modern Color of the Year beauty collection. The launch of 2012 Color of the Year, Tangerine Tango, created record breaking results for the retailer, with fans purchasing a Tangerine Tango item every six seconds during the month of launch. In 2013, Sephora invites you to discover the color of positive energy and possibility, and open your eyes to the power of Emerald.

“Green is the most abundant hue in nature – the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum. Emerald, a perfectly balanced green, is a mix of warm and cool, which makes it so versatile and flattering to many skin tones,” noted Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in todays complex world.”

Inspired by the many facets of a gemstone, this collection features Sephora Collections high performance formulas in modern packaging, designed by SEPHORA and inspired by the iconic Pantone Chip. Each eye shadow, blush, eye liner, lip gloss, mascara and nail polish offers unique finishes like matte, metallic and lacquer to capture the sparkle and play off light unique to an Emerald, the perfect green – blue hue.

“What I love about this years Color of the Year collection is its electrifying and modern. Emerald evokes power and possibility, which are two things women should feel when they wear makeup,” said Sephora Pro Lead Artist Gilbert Soliz. “Sephora once again challenges women to envelope themselves in the trend color, from subtle effects to bold saturated statements, Emerald will energize the way you think and feel about color.”

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Sounds very very interesting. I’m a little bummed there isn’t a LimeCrime-esque emerald lipstick (A girl can dream right?) and what the heck is a lid stain? That just sounds scary!

  • Amy

I wish they would make an emerald blush and opaque lipstick/lipgloss. I’d be sooooo happy!

  • Debster

Typing in all caps doesn’t come close to how excited I am about this collection!

  • Kelsey

“Color Cube Lid Liner Stain”? Oh gosh… I just made a Scooby Doo face. Not sure how I feel about staining my eyelids but this just sounds SO COOL!!! Super excited now, thanks for the heads up!

Let’s just say that my makeup no buy isn’t going to last as long as I was hoping it would. There are so many products that I’m interested in, but I’m too lazy to scroll up and down to type everything out. lol I’m very excited for the product images, though (that usually helps me decide against a lot of products I’m initially interested in). Thanks for the info!

my pleasure kb!!!!! I dunno how anyone goes on a no buy girl! that would prove impossible for me ;D

      • K.B.

It was more of a panicked declaration I made to my mom when she went through all my makeup and said (out of intense jealousy, I’m sure) if I bought any more makeup she was going to go through my stash and take some off my hands.

I really am trying to not buy any makeup until April/May when I buy makeup for the summer. I’m pretty excited about Sephora’s birthday gift this year, so really I’d only make it to next month without buying something (if I can make it that long – I REALLY want the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes palette).

  • Tennyoceres

Yes, yes, Yes YES YES *YES* **YES**! Oh holy hell I’m sounding like those old Herbal Essences commercials.

Sephora has really stepped up with their in-store brand makeup. Packaging, formula, everything. I’m going to renew my VIB status in no-time at this rate.

I have emerald green eyes and dark red hair, so needless to say Emerald is my absolute favorite color! I CAN’T WAIT! I already have like 10 green eyeliners and several green eyeshadow palettes (plus lots of green eye shadows in other palettes). But what’s a few more?!

  • Megan

Emerald green has been one of my favorite colors for as long as I can remember! I’m so excited for this collection! I’ve been more of an Ulta girl lately but I think this collection might turn me back to a Sephora girl:)

  • Kay

Oooh, thanks for the info. I bought a green bag on sale and was wondering if I should keep it. Wondering no more!
