Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes! Statement Mascara Review
Tarte’s new QVC Today’s Special Value is coming at you next week (February 5th) and includes Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes! Statement Mascara.
I love the original Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara and it’s become an HG (holy grail) for me and it seems like Lights, Camera, Flashes! Statement Mascara is becoming a VERY quick favorite as well. If for nothing else you should indulge in the Journey to Natural Beauty Collection on QVC just to get it.
I’m unsure when Tarte will release Lights, Camera, Flashes! Statement Mascara outside of this set so if you do want to try it after this review you’ll have to log into QVC on February and steal the six piece Tarte Collection!
The mascara has a very similiar brush to the original Lights, Camera, Lashes! however, it has finer points versus thinner bristles which have a knack for grasping lashes and pulling them outwards creating some very nice length. My close up shots don’t do the mascara justice however, as you can see in my close up shots my lashes look fuller, longer, and just overall more dramatic.
The formula has a little bit of a crunchy factor on dry down but isn’t heavy so it manages to keep curl should you use a curler prior to application (it doesn’t produce curl but will hold it without leaving lashes droopy towards the end of the day). The blacker than black pigment of the mascara gives a certain drama to lashes and the length and volume it produces (a rarity to get both in one mascara) is excellent on a whole.
It removes easily but still manages to not smudge or flake on my drier eyes through the wear.
If you love Lights, Camera, and Lashes! Mascara I think you’ll ADORE Lights, Camera, Flashes! It’s a great mascara that produces a very bold, dramatic lash look that will compliment many eye looks especially smoky ones.
Adore this!
Muse Approved for purchase.
It’ll be available in the QVC Today’s Special Value from Tarte on February 5th (a full review and more details about the set is coming soon).
