Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint is a new self adjusting shade of pink for lips. Considering Tarte has every shade of the rainbow available in Lipsurgence Collection it was only a matter of time that they introduced a self adjusting lip tint.

I, for one, still think that Tarte is one of the best chubby lip tints available. The formula has always had a pleasant lightweight yet hydrating finish and the color range is quite lovely. Clinique comes a close second for me.

I was quite excited to check out the Skintuitive Lip Tint even though I’m kinda on the fence about self-adjusting anything….!

This is the same great formula you’ve come to know and love from LipSurgence. If anything at all it’s probably even better than the texture you know. It’s light, has a shiny finish, and provides a nice bit of moisture to lips. A minty taste completes the package.

The formula glides onto lips smooth, easily, and just like melted butter. It has a nice bit of shine but isn’t overly glossy or oily looking on lips.

The lip tint starts out life as a translucent shade of baby pink and supposedly delievers a personalized shade of pink to lips. I find products like this vary from lip to lip as it depends on how pigmented your lips. For me it goes a pale pink at first and proceeds to deepen to an almost fuchsia within the first hour of wear. I think most folks will find the shade goes to a loud pink on lips. It’s a nice natural tint though or at least I think so particularly if you just want some moisture and a bit of tint, nothing too heavy.

If you like Tarte’s original Lipsurgence Collection you’re guaranteed to love Skintuitive Lip Tint. Same great formula just a more natural, sheerer bit of color!

It’s available now at Sephora, Ulta, or online at tartecosmetics.com

Reminds me a lot of the Pixi one 🙂 I’m intrigued~. I don’t know about like the science behind these “perfect shade of…” things but I do like the effect!

I’m on the fence about this myself, it feels great on lips nice slip n shine, I’m not too keen about the mintyness, and the color is a lot more uhh vibrant than my other lip pies like this, like the Dior addict glow is way more subtle. When I’m wearing its obvious I’m wearing something on my lips.

    • the Muse

that’s true it is noticeable…it’s natural on me though, I mean not TOO bold crazy but just enough tint to look good. You’re super fair so I imagine it is way more obvious.

I really want to try this cause I love Tarte Lipsurgence in general. Today I’m wearing Achiote! 🙂 BUT I’m afraid it will turn hot pink on my lips and that would be too much color. My lips are pretty unpigmented naturally though so maybe it would stay more subtle?

    • the Muse

no actually, unpigmented, and you’ll prob see more POP jessica ;-D P.S. Achiote is a fav of mine ;D

I was thinking of buying a new Lipsurgence this weekend actually, maybe I’ll give this one a try. Achiote is probably my favorite too!

This looks very similar to the pixi one! I like the pixi one a lot actually, so I guess I won’t really be going for this one.

I’m pretty tempted; I love the LipSurgence formula. There’s a new cheek stain I want to try, too, I think–it’s a nude with a peachy-pink tint? maybe? Now I can’t remember, lol.

I love Tarte so I need one of these! Unrelated, but as a fellow doctor who fan I thought you’d appreciate this – I saw someone with Rory’s quote about waiting 2000 years as a tattoo. Just simple cursive font but it looked amazing!

oh my god if I was going to get inked I’d consider that TOO cool you should had reddit pic’ed that one ;-D

man I’m such a sucker for these “made for me” products. Do I need this? Probably not. Will I buy it because it’s pink and its tarte and it’s pink? Yes. I have about 9000000000000000 million pink lip-glosses, so whats another one?

  • Gray

I bought this about two weeks ago. I am in love! This is my favorite tarte lip color so far. My lips aren’t very pigmented though so the color is somewhat noticeable on me while it may not be on others.
