I’m very curious about Naked Skin and its been such a long time since Urban Decay did blush! So the Flushed Palette looks rather fab.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Very interested to hear your thoughts on these, especially the BB cream! The glosses look fab too.

Muse, Christine @ Temptalia did swatches and a review of the Naked Flushed palette, she didn’t like the highlighter. Frosted finish, emphasizes pores. The blush is a nice color but its apparently not too great of a palette.

yeah read her review this morning, still going to review here though and try it out, maybe I’ll like it?! *fingers crossed*

I have a sample of the bb cream in the mail (with my bottle of naked skin). I have my hopes, but even if it is just a tinted moisturizer, I like those and I’ll use up the sample.

Urban Decay is on the fast track to safe and boring. Looking at Naked Basics, Naked Flushed, the lipgloss shades, as if you’d never heard of UD, would you believe someone if they said the brand’s slogan was beauty with an edge? Naming lipglosses “Obsessed” and “Trashed” doesn’t make them sexy, edgy or cool when the shades are so safe.

Agreed. I think so many people complained of the shimmer and unwearable shades that they tried to expand and please everyone which of course made more $$. I remember when they were a niche brand. I even remember when they just made nailpolish…that makes me sound so old. But I remember seeing their first ad and being blown away by the awesome makeup colors. You used to not be able to get colors of lip stuff like that except for at halloween and it was crap quality
they were the first higher-end brand to make fun, different colors. I think they made the first black with silver glitter shadow- oil slick- I remember buying that and midnight cowboy and being amazed at how awesome they were. Then came their lip gunk and face cases, I LOVED those! Nice totally funky colors. Now most brands have similar colors and the naked pallette is great for basics but because it was so popular the brand seems to be changing for the worse, quality is way up but originality isn’t as important it seems
