Clarins Palette Eclat Face & Blush Powder Review & Swatches
Just when I think I’m done with Clarins face palettes they pull me back in. The delightful Clarins Palette Eclat Face & Blush Powder for Spring 2013 may look very similiar to limited edition face palettes you already own but rest easy knowing this one produces a beautifully peachy glow that makes it a must have.
At a glance I thought it looked a little similiar to the Clarins Odyssey Face Palette but in fact it sports a more subtly pigmented finish that makes it an instant hit for fresh, naturally flushed cheeks for Spring.
Heavy handed? The Clarins Palette Eclat Face & Blush Powder is for you!
Clarins Palette Eclat Face & Blush Powder ($35) is delightfully scented like violets, comes housed in its own velvety pocket sleeve, and sports a gold elegant mirrored compact. Inside you’ll be privy to a floral design gracing a beige peach powder and tiny strips of darker peach and pink. At first I thought those strips were an over spray but they actually run right through the powder and give a little boost of color to the dominate beige peach shade.
Now this is best suited for fair, medium, or lightly tanned skin as it might not show up on anyone darker sadly. However, if you fit in with this demographic you’ll be delighted with the peach flush it gives to cheeks. It’s a very natural finish that never looks overly done. I’m quite heavy handed so a blush like this is a god sent particularly when I tend to go a little too dramatic with my blush, eyes, and lips…this is great for those days you’re sporting a heavier lip or eye look as it gives just enough of a natural flush without looking extreme or bold.
The powder is a finely milled, silky texture that applies and blends easily. The fragrance is delightful however, those sensitive to scented powder might want to sniff it on counter prior to a purchase. Pigment is sheer overall, but tinted enough that color can be seen on cheeks depending on your skin tone.
Overall, this one is a keeper! I thought perhaps it would be a little repetitive of Clarins but actually it turned into a perfect little blusher that will likely become something I use daily.
I recommend checking it out. It’s Muse Approved for purchase.
