Coffret D’Or Shine Fit Eyes Review & Swatches

Coffret D'Or Shine Fit Eyes 7

Coffreet D’Or Shine Fit Eyes are kinda the younger hipper sister of the old Coffret D’Or Fluffy Shine Eyes launched many a moon ago. Packaging is revamped, it’s now a cream versus a mousse, and the sparkle finish is here too.

I loved the Fluffy Shine Eyes myself and hated to see them go so I was happy when the Shine Fit Eyes launched as I thought it would be a similar product to fill the missing void Fluffy Shine Eyes left.

Take a look!

Mmm not so much I guess. Typically I like these kind of liquid eye shimmer washes that Asian brands do particularly Japanese brands. Almost every brand in Japan has some variation of the cream shimmer eyeshadow or will have one at some point. I’ve run across some great ones in my day like the Visee Aqua Shining Eyes!

And I’ve run across bad ones too. Coffret D’Or Shine Fit Eyes aren’t necessarily bad but they are a very sheer wash of color. I typically like how many of these shadows deliver a hint of color and a healthy dose of shimmer. Unfortunately Shine Fit Eyes delivers the sparkle just not the color as well.

This has a sponge tip applicator for application and a formula that resembles a thinner consistency cream shadow. Swipe it on and blend out with fingers for application. It blends out easily and pretty much offers a fuss-proof application. You’ll get a very sheer bit of color from the colors I’ve tried (the one featured here is Beige) with a nice bit of sparkle.

Coffret D'Or Shine Fit Eyes Swatches

Visee Aqua Shining Eyes are the same exact formula however, they, at the least, have a nice tint to them so you can differentiate between shades. But with Shine Fit Eyes it’s difficult to tell you which shade you are wearing, they just all look the same. It actually swatches much nicer than it applies in regards to pigment.

Overall, if you’re looking for a hint of shimmer with a more natural eye look sans major color these might be a good way to get it. However, if you desire a colored shimmery cream shadow, well, these are disappointing.

I personally didn’t like them and might I add at the risk of sounding like a broken record that Kanebo should have never replaced T’estimo with Coffret D’Or. Blah!

Adambeauty.com carries these should you be interested.

What shimmery cream shadows do you recommend?

I love the E.L.F. ones!

I purchased this item.

I tried so hard to love coffret dor since it was introduced. Tho they are pretty to look at but their quality is not consistent.
I like Kanebo’s high end line “Lunasol” eye shadows but its so expensive and I cant follow them every season :”(

judy, agreed…! plus don’t you feel almost all their releases have pastel pinks…it’s just not terribly appealing 🙁 I like and follow Lunasol as well but I must admit I’m not terribly tempted to splurge $50 and several palettes with each seasonal launch! It gets costly 🙁 $30 would be a fairer price le sigh!
