Take a peek see if you need ’em!

MAC Archie's Girl Blush Spring 2013

MAC Archie's Girl Blush

MAC Prom Princess Blush (Veronica’s Blush) is a violet pink with excellent color payoff but it doesn’t have a little bit of a drier, chalkier formula for me. The color is quite loud so tanned or darker skin tones will find it lively enough however, those with fair or lighter complexions might wish to skip it as it is quite deep. I had a little bit of a hard time blending it and it came across slightly patchy but with a little work and excellent prepping the shade is do-able.

MAC Archie's Girl Blushes Prom Princess

MAC Cream Soda Blush is a satin finish nearly matte shade of light beige peach. It probably won’t show up on darker complexion but will work well as a highlighter on such a skin tone as it does have a very faint glow. It’s very soft, smooth, and easy to apply without over doing it due to the sheer color pay off. On my cheeks it kinda reminds me of Clarins new Eclat Palette.

MAC Archie's Girl Blushes Cream Soda

Out of the two I thought Cream Soda was the more easier to work with. Prom Princess is a unique shade and will work best on darker skin tones but the color is a little tricky to work with no matter your tone so just take proper care and attention during application.

MAC Archie's Girl Blush Swatches

These launch this week on counter or already available at both maccosmetics.com and Nordstrom.com

Are either on your wish list?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Thanks for the swatches! I am a blush fiend at heart, but I wasn’t sure about these. I bought Prom Princess because Cream Soda looked way too light for me (I’m an NW 20-25) – we’ll see how it turns out, lol!

i think cream soda would look great on an nw20-25!!!!!!!!! don’t skip it Kristen ;-D Prom Princess is a little hard to get on board with, application issues for me, but a lovely shade none the less ;D

LOL! What can I say, I was scared after buying, trying, and returning the waay light Launch Away from Hey Sailor! Cream Soda was giving me flashbacks! 🙂

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I have to check my stash for Launch Away I recall that vaguely I think Cream Soda the more pigmented. I don’t blame you know though, it’s such a pain to return when ordering online :-/ I likened the shade, cream soda that is, to the new clarins eclat palette a bit ;D kinda peachy beige, very natural ;-D

The Veronica blush sold out insanely fast, I want it . 🙁 The archie collection and the paint pots are the first I’ve been excited by from MAC in a long time
