MAC Archie’s Girl Blush Review & Swatches
Cream Soda and Prom Princess are two new limited edition blush shades released with the MAC Archie’s Girl Collection launching later this week on counter.
Take a peek see if you need ’em!
MAC Prom Princess Blush (Veronica’s Blush) is a violet pink with excellent color payoff but it doesn’t have a little bit of a drier, chalkier formula for me. The color is quite loud so tanned or darker skin tones will find it lively enough however, those with fair or lighter complexions might wish to skip it as it is quite deep. I had a little bit of a hard time blending it and it came across slightly patchy but with a little work and excellent prepping the shade is do-able.
MAC Cream Soda Blush is a satin finish nearly matte shade of light beige peach. It probably won’t show up on darker complexion but will work well as a highlighter on such a skin tone as it does have a very faint glow. It’s very soft, smooth, and easy to apply without over doing it due to the sheer color pay off. On my cheeks it kinda reminds me of Clarins new Eclat Palette.
Out of the two I thought Cream Soda was the more easier to work with. Prom Princess is a unique shade and will work best on darker skin tones but the color is a little tricky to work with no matter your tone so just take proper care and attention during application.
These launch this week on counter or already available at both maccosmetics.com and Nordstrom.com
