Majolica Majorca PK415 Puff de Cheek Review & Swatches

Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek PK415

Majolica Majorca released two limited edition shades of Puff de Cheek for Summer 2012 one of which was Raspberry Macaron. I already raved Cherry Macaron rather hard so I thought I’d haul out Raspberry today and review it.

Ok, so I’m a little late and Raspberry might be a little harder to find but it is well worth checking out!

Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek

This comes housed in a tiny little tin can with a ribboned puff for application. It looks like a little piece sweet candy or the French pastry it’s named for.

When the original Puff de Cheek’s were launched for Spring 2011 I wasn’t a fan as I felt the formula a tad too chalky but the Summer 2012 releases more than made up for that.

I find the formula silkier on the Summer colors and shimmer finish much easier to apply and use. The matte, chalkier finish of the original shades just wasn’t terribly appealing but the hint of shimmer and lighter texture of the Summer shades seemed easier to apply and had a much nicer finish on my skin. PK415 or Raspberry Macaron is a raspberry pink shade with silver shimmer. No worries about the shimmer as it blends away easily and doesn’t leave behind disco ball cheeks. The shades blends easily onto my cheeks and gives a bright pink finish.

The little puff included is a nice extra and completes the ultra cute packaging but it isn’t exactly practical. I find application with it ends up in clown-like cheeks. You’re best bet is using your own blusher brush for application.

If you’re looking for a pretty shade of pink blush, cute packaging, and a nicely pigmented formula that blends easily I’d check this little guy.

As I mentioned it was LE for Summer but it should be easy to locate on E-bay and Adambeauty.com but might also still stock it.

Have you tried Puff de Cheeks?

What were your initial thoughts on the original formula?

Tried the LE shades?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

This looks beautiful on you, Muse! I love the packaging of Puff de Cheek 🙂 Still loving the apricot macaron shade that I picked up on your recommendation!

Mmmm, I love these! I have two, and you are right – the little puff applicator is cute but pretty much useless. I ended up keeping the little plastic sheet in the second one I bought so the puff is still pure white – I just like looking at it when I use the blush. :3

I have an unhealthy obsession with the macaron blushers and I loved the matte ones! This color looks very pigmented in compassion and really suits you! Lovely color *~*

Such pretty eye makeup ~ And such cutesy packaging. I want something from Majolica Majorca, but its so overwhelming how much there is on eBay. I keep running into the potted Blood stuff (don’t remember the name exactl) and grrr, the packaging. I want it just because of packaging, even if its not-so-great.

If you want to put that adorable powder puff to good use you can fold it in half and use any part of that folded edge for application, I find that with powder puffs it gives way more control 🙂
