Mark What a Gem Face Brush

Do love the darling little Mark What A Gem Face Brush released for Spring 2013. This bling bedecked brush is perfect for applying powders and blushes.

Take a peek!

The Mark What a Gem Face Brush ($14) recently launched on Mark’s site and I got one earlier last week to play around with. It hasn’t left my side since it arrived in the mail. I love this thing!

Typically I use a Bobbi Brown Blush Brush (my HG) to apply blush but I’ve been using this daily. It’s a long bristled flat head design which makes it ideal for not only powders but also for blush application as you can do that “flicking” swipe motion across cheek bones easily, it just fits nicely along the contour of my face.

The bristles are soft and shed-free but of course, the real joy is the cute bling-y handle! The handle has small faux gem stones embedded into it. Too cute.

Yeah, sometimes cute stuff wins me over.

Likey!

I’d shave off $4 bucks and make it $9.99 but that’s about all I’d change. Everything else is aces with this sweet little brush. I might pick a back up one up to use with powders and one for my sis to stick in my V-Day gift baggie!

I was contemplating getting this when I placed my Avon order but decided against it. Now I wish I had!

Definitely a great Vday gift with the sweet gems and all!
You know, I’ve never used a flat handled brush, with the exception of Lil minis in a kit or whatever.

Is it different/awkward in the hand, at first??

not at all, I love the nars flat head one, that thing is amazeballs! so precise!

I’m awaiting this brush’s arrival in my next mark order. I’m so glad I purchased this after reading your review.

Oh no, I don’t find it cute at all. I hate the chunky gems. Looks cheap. A brush with Swarovski crystals on the handle, now THAT would win me over 😉

Speaking of brushes (this DOES pertain to this post, I swear lol) have you ever tried out the Bdellium brushes? They are releasing some cute pink ones later this month and I was curious what your take on them is/would be. I’ve heard good things and I’m thinking about investing in one of the duet fiber brushes to check it out. I heard that they were at IMATS LA this year.
