My Beauty Diary Lemon Vit-C Mask

As a dull, dry skinned girl I do use my fair share of facial sheet masks in my skincare regime! Lately My Beauty Diary Lemon Vit-C Mask happens to be on my hit list.

Imma tell you, if you don’t use facial sheet masks you’re missing out on one of your skincare life’s greatest joys.

Take a peek!

The My Beauty Diary Lemon Vit-C Facial Sheet Masks far fairly new, I think they had a Summer 2012 launch but don’t quote me there. I hauled three boxes from Sasa a few months ago and just recently went through the last and final box.

I admit I probably over do sheet masks. I use to try getting them in every single day of the week but now I cut back to like 3 or 4 a week. Hi, my name is the Muse, and I’m a facial sheet mask addict.

Supposedly these rely on lemon extract with a stable form of vitamin that brightens skin and evens skin tone. It’s actually packed with interesting fruit extracts. The mask leaves my skin super soft although a tad sticky after use. On my face itself I’m cool but around my neck if any essence drips down, things kinda get sticky sometimes.

If you never used a sheet mask they are simply made of a durable cotton fiber with nose and eye slits. You place it over your face, possibly run around the house with a large knife Michael Myers style for 30 minutes or you can be boring and sit around watching TV for 20-30 minutes. The mask is soaked in a essence lotion and very saturated and wet to the touch. After use, simply remove it, toss it, and press the palms of your hands to your face so the lotion absorbs.

Done!

What’s Lemon Vit-C do?

It temporarily eases dullness, brightens skin, and gives new life to a lackluster complexion. I didn’t experience tone evening or even long term whitening benefits from this but with twice or three times a week use you’ll find your skin is softer and brighter in the AM after a PM treatment.

Good stuff.

Do likey!

My Beauty Diary is actually sold at the evil empire (insert the Imperial March here) as well, online anyway, never been privy to it in store however, I purchase mine from Sasa.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just hurt my bank account on Sasa.com the other day. I’ll have to keep these in mind the next time I’m looking around!

lol, I once scared my boyfriend coming out of the kitchen with one of these on. Tip, during the summer, if you put these masks in the fridge, instant relief from the heat! My mama taught me that one. 😀

;-D I like to put the cooling formula ones in the freezer for about 10 minutes, dud, it is so refreshing ;D haha…poor BF!

Have you tried any of the other sheet masks from My Beauty Diary or just the lemon? Alot of them look really nice!

  • Louise

Aww I love My Beauty Diary masks – they smell so great and it’s literally soaked in the essence. Haven’t tried this one yet; my dad bought me like six or more boxes while he was in Hong Kong and I haven’t gone through them and don’t know which ones I have haha.

LOL Louise same issue here, “which should I use first?” I have too many!

How does this compare to other brightening masks (like the MBD Black Pearl mask)?

    • the Muse

black pearl doesn’t brighten so well for me so I guess I get better results with vit c 😀

Lol. Apparently I’m still 15 because I would love to run around scaring people with this on. (Sans the knife, though- bad things happen to armed, masked villians.) I haven’t tried one yet, but that may be a good thing.

I love these masks! I wish they were available where I live but I think I’m gonna order the same ones 🙂
