NARS Torrid Blush Review & Swatches

NARS Torrid Blush

I just picked up NARS Blush in Torrid a month or two ago. Although I have yet to do so yet, I’m really on a mission to own every NARS Blush shade in the known universe.

There blushes are pricey but well worth owning as they apply easily, have the best pigment, and wear all damn day. That last part is super important to me.

Being obsessed with peaches and particularly consumed with the way NARS does them I picked up Torrid.

Here are some thoughts!

Sometimes NARS has a goofy moment with blushes and they tend to be a tad too dense, a little too dry, and sometimes, gasp, outrage, a little patchy during application. Torrid suffers none of these problems. Although dense it proves satiny and perfectly basic to apply without a hiccup. The formula is pigmented, exactly what you’d expect from a NARS Blush, and leaves behind a beautiful glow-y coral on my cheeks.

NARS Torrid Blush Swatches

Although it contains a smidge of shimmer the finish is more of a satin so no disco-ball cheeks to be had here. Some folks call Torrid the perfect shade for tanned or olive complexions. I can easily see why! I purchased my sister the shade for her Christmas stocking when I got mine and it had a bewitching pop on her tanned skin.

If you don’t already own it I’d recommend picking it up. It might be a nice replacement for Orgasm if you felt the shade too sheer or too shimmery (I love Orgasm but I know some folks don’t).

NARS Torrid Blush FOTD

With Spring on the way I’m starting to feel raved up for peaches again so this joins my stash at just the right moment and season.

Do you own Torrid?

Love it?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The Theodora lip pencil looks stunning on you!
&Torrid compliments that lip very well!

I’ve only ever bought the Orgasm / Laguna duo from Nars, but I’m always swooning over their products whenever I see them. They’re just too darn pricey for me right now. However, I totally believe the quality is worth it.

Ive always heard that Torrid works well on olive/tanned skin tones, which I have. Maybe I’ll treat myself to just this once…

I just looked at ur pic again, and I have to say, this may be my fave look I’ve seen on you! The eyes, lips, cheeks against ur skin tone, is oh so gorgeous!

Want…need…gimme! I’m really getting into peach blushes. I can’t seem to get enough of ’em. I might have to get this as the weather warms up.

I don’t have Torrid but it looks beautiful on you! I’m definitely checking it out on my next trip to Sephora.

I love Torrid! It’s a great alternative to Orgasm when I want the color but don’t want the shimmer. And I agree, it’s a fabulous shade for olives!

Oh you look so beautiful in these colors!!! I just got Outlaw and Cactus Flower (their cream shadows will be discontinued) and am loving them. Dang, now you make me want Torrid too. On The List now! Hugs, S

hi there! Just wondering why this isn’t Muse Approved. Any glitch in the product? I’m looking for a nice coral blush and this seems like a good candidate, just surprised it didn’t get your seal of approval. 🙂

  • lily

That looks gorgeous! The only NARS blush I have is a cream blush called cactus flower (and I love it very much!). I’m not a fan of the multiples but I do want some of their powder blushes! Thanks for the swatches!

This is my go-to Nars bec it actually has color AND a little shimmer, and I am a PASTY white redhead. Orgasm is a little pinker and like a glitterbomb but doesn’t ever show up on my face.

Also to note–this is almost a dupe to that IT COSMETICS Vitality Cheek Stain stuff in Pretty in Peony, but the It stays on longer. Sometimes I layer them so that it stays on better and I can still use my nars.

Beautiful post! Is this good on bronzed skin? Is this the most wearable or more bold nars blush? Is this the best nars bright coral or orange blush?

  • Jodi

WOW!!! I read your archived reviews frequently ( you’re my “Go-To” for any & all purchases ) so I just stumbled across this one now – So I know it’s not current but I gotta tell you how amazing you look here!
