Pixi Daylight Glow Collection Review & Swatches
Just in time for Spring Pixi delights with their new Daylight Glow Collection. The Pixi Daylight Glow Collection is a limited edition make up bag filled with Pixi must haves in pretty Spring shades.
I was delighted with the little makeup bag! It has a tiny pixie zipper pull! Awww! Cute!
Let’s take a peek!
The Daylight Glow Collection ($28) should be popping up at your local Target soon should you like to grab it. The set includes essentials for lips, tips, and eyes housed in a pink quilted makeup bag.
I have so many makeup bags it’s borderline crazy but I must admit this is my new little bag for stuffing my essentials into. Small yet large enough to hold all my makeup essentials this cute quilted pink bag ha s a tiny rubberized pixie zipper pull. It’s simple, it’s cute, and it’s oh so handy!
Inside the bag includes:
- Nail Colour in Mother of Pearl (luminous rose gold shimmer in translucent pink base)
- Tinted Brilliance Balm in Lucent Glow (luminous rose gold shimmer in translucent pink base)
- Mini Shade Quartette in Shades of Daylight (golden brown, light golden ivory-peach, light gold and golden peach)
This kit would be twice as nice if they didn’t include the nail color and included a blush instead. You know me, I’m so not a nail girl! So I’d def have made more use from a blush of some sort.
I’ve reviewed Pixi’s Tinted Balm in a prior post however this shade is an entirely different color. This is a twist up chunky pencil that houses a sparkling shade of translucent balm. I love this shade! It’s reflects a luminous rosy gold on my lips and looks incredible on top of lip stain or lipstick. It almost acts as an overcoat of sorts. I originally tried a colored version of Brilliance Balm so the shade Lucent Glow is kinda like retrying out a brand new product. The lack of color means you’re getting more sparkle thus it acts as a glowing overcoat for other products. Or use it alone! It pops with a little clear gloss on top.
The Mini Shade Quartette is cute but OH so tiny! I had a hard time maneuvering around the shades with my brush. The texture of the shadows is a little powdery and a shy frosty but they create a very pretty, natural look. The finish has a hint of sparkle with sheer to medium pigmentation depending the shades you’re using. If it was a little bigger I’d be quite happy with it but the small size does make it challenging to get at each individual shade and that’s a little irritating at times.
Overall, there were a few quirks with the Daylight Glow Set but it really is a darling little set that creates a pretty natural Spring look. It’ll make a really nice gift to stick in an Easter basket for a younger girl that enjoys makeup.
