Sephora Jasmine A Whole New World Eau de Parfum Spray Review
Sephora’s Disney Jasmine Collection released this week to Beauty Insiders along with the new A Whole New World Eau De Parfum Spray.
Eep! There’s definitely a need to collect ’em all vibe from these collections. If you have Cinderella’s So This is Love Perfume I imagine A Whole New World will make its way into your stash at some point. That is, of course, if you’re as diseased as I am and just need to collect them all!
If you think I’m bad with beauty you should see my with comic books and action figures. WORST!
I didn’t love Cinderella’s scent as I felt it was a little too mature and floral. Jasmine’s is quite soft and delicate and no sadly does not contain her namesake in the notes, sorry about that.
Take a look!
A Whole New World Eau de Parfume ($58) is available in a cut crystal bottle with a bejeweled topper or as a more inexpensive rollerball should you like to take the fragrance for a small spin prior to committing to the full size.
The bottle resembles that of Cinderella’s but done in Jasmine’s accent colors. The fragrance itself is a pretty shade of purple.
This is a soft feminine floral scent with rich woods and exotic florals. I was delighted with carnation as a note as this typically delivers a spiciness to a fragrance but sadly it plays a back note to the other more dominate floral notes such as Gardenia and Orange Blossom. I get a very strong Gardenia note with more sultry back notes of Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, and the strength of amber which lends mystery to the scent.
On a whole the scent comes across as a very delicate floral with plenty of comforting warmth.
Neither Cinderella nor Jasmine’s fragrance made a huge impression on me on a whole to be honest as I’m not much for floral fragrances. However, if you enjoy soft floral fragrances that work in the day and just as easily into the evening you might enjoy A Whole New World.
It’s available now at Sephora.com and launches later next month in store.
