Sephora Pastel Pop Air Fresh Face Luminizing Powder Review & Swatches

Sephora Pastel Pop Air Fresh Face Luminizing Powder 1

Here’s a really cute something something to pick up next trip to Sephora. The new Sephora Pastel Pop Air Fresh Face Luminizing Powder is a retake on Sephora’s traditional LARGE face disks. You know how Sephora always introduces those massive highlighting powders seasonally? Well the Air Fresh Face Lumizing Powder is cut down in size and in price at a mere $14.

Quite affordable and well worth picking up as it quite reminds me of Dior’s Diorskin Matte and Luminous Hydrating Loose Powder which was introduced for Holiday 2012.

This powder comes housed in a black Sephora compact with a pop of vibrant neon slashes across the top of the palette. It kinda has an 80’s vibe going on. I was surprised when I got my package as I expected Sephora’s typical large highlighter disc and this is just a normal size palette! Easier to store in my opinion and I’m not overwhelmed by the size either considering I have a hard time traveling with such CD sized compact. Don’t let it fool you thought for the mere $14 you’re still coming home with 0.35 oz of product.

Although not an exact dupe for Dior’s Gold Dust Powder it is VERY similiar in texture (although pressed versus loose) and shade. The powder is a soft beige with a hint of iridescent gold sparkle. It isn’t an overwhelming amount of sparkle so I feel very confident applying it as a finishing powder of sorts. I like it brushed under my eyes as well to set my concealer. It produces a very sheer glow on my face while mattifying shinier areas.

The texture has a silky feel without being powdery or chalky. It applies and blends very easily. It really did quite remind me of Dior’s powder but in a pressed version.

Overall, I’m not a huge highlighter fan but I think Sephora Pastel Pop Air Fresh Face Luminizing Powder will get a good deal of use. It produces just the right amount of glow without looking over done and does double duty as a face powder of sorts.

    Ooh, I missed out on Dior’s Gold Dust ;A;

    So I may pick this up >:D

    I have a couple of questions!
    When you put this under your eyes, would you say it gives a brightening effect or does it just set your concealer?

    Also, I know you said it’s not super sparkly, but are there obvious glitter particles when you put it on?

    Thanks! I know that was kind of a lot to read…

    Very nice and a great price. It seems like a good multi-tasking product. Will have to try and snag this one.
