Tarte The Brow Architect Swatches

Tarte The Brow Architect

Tarte’s new The Brow Architect Pencil (swatches of all three are located below) has launches exclusively in the new Journey to Natural Beauty Set available today at QVC.com.

This pencil is available in three shade selections and the shades will be determined by which foundation you order.

Have a look!

I’m not reviewing this because I don’t technically use an eyebrow pencil so the purpose is lost on me somewhat. I wouldn’t be able to tell you if this is incredible or not as I don’t know the first thing about a good brow pencil considering my brows are too full and adding powder or pencil to them would be a big no no!

However, I did want to swatch these for you so you can have an idea of the shades.

The One Brow Architect Brow Shaper is a dual ended product that includes a brow pencil and powder (in a small sponge smudger). Now the Fair and Light Foundation choices will receive the Fair/Light Brow Architect, the Medium and Tan will get the Medium/Tan pencil, and finally the Deep will get the Deep one.

To use the pencil simply fill in sparse or short hair areas in gentle strokes with the slanted pencil tip. Now apply the sponge-tip concealer underneath the brow moving it along your natural arch. A small spiral comb is also housed in the pencil so you can comb the product into place to set your look.

This launches exclusively in the Tarte set today at QVC.com but I am unsure when or if it will be launched worldwide at some point (it’s safe to guess that it will be at some point).

Do you use brow pencils?

I get that it’s a kit, but that’s still a weird system. What if you have pale skin, but darker hair? Or darker skin with lighter hair?

    • Debster

Agreed. I don’t care for the lack of colour options since I think they look waaaaaay to dark. 🙁 I’m sure I’m not the only pale redhead who looks rediculous with ‘brown’ eyebrows.

Im with AnniLau, too. And the powder? Im miss it? Is it for your brown area or under it to highlight? Im a huge Tarte fan and not sure i want LOL or need this one 🙂

I was going to say the same thing…I am the fairest of the fair but I have dark brown hair and dye it darker…my eyebrows are naturally pretty dark but also sparse so I have to fill them with a dark powder (I use Bobbi Brown in either espresso or mahogany I forgot which it was). Deep is actually pretty light and warm for me from this collection lol.

I already love Tarte blushes, mascaras and eye shadows but I’ve been looking for a more natural looking brow pencil so I’m excited to try this out. Is it supposed to be a universal brow shade though? I really only see a difference in the powder shades…

    • the Muse

there is a touch difference between shades lorraine but the colors are very very similiar.

  • Abbey

I’m gonna be honest…I have this set and didn’t realize that powder was there! haha oops 🙂

  • yelena

oooh i was already excited about this item in the kit and had read somewhere that it would be a single (universal color) now that i know its customized to your foundation I am even MORE EXCITED!
I personally fill in my brows every single day. Tarte knows how to do brow products – their waterproof brow mousse is my HG brow product but is hard to carry around. if this product is half as good, even for touch ups I will be elated! 😀

    thanks muse!

there are some minor differences in the shades yelena or maybe I’m nuts? ;-D My pleasure chica I sure hope it lives up to your expectations!

my only complaint about the qvc special is the brow pencil. Love it but I got the medium with the medium foundation but would prefer the light brow pencil. The tan highlight in the middle is way to dark

    • yelena

just a suggestion: maybe u can use it on your crease instead for an on the go shadow look 🙂

Yelena…..What a great idea!!!! This is quite the set and loving all the products 🙂

I just got this and I have to say it’s amazing! I got it in Tan, which was perfect for me. The eyebrow pencil side is a medium-dark brown. It’s very natural looking. I combine this with my Tarte brow mousse because I like to have my eyebrows a little darker. The angled tip on the pencil delivers a precise line. My favorite part of this product is the concealer end, though! It is a creamy concealer, not powder. The small tip is perfect for outlining your brows after penciling them in. I use it both above and below my brows and it perfectly sculpts my brows. Any stray hairs or imperfections ate gone! This product gives that finished look that I love! I wasn’t sure what this product was all about before I tried it, but I am so impressed by it! This is my ultimate brow perfector now!

Any intel on when this might be available as an individual product? It’s the best brow product I’ve ever used.
This color works perfectly for medium to dark brown hair. I have very dark brown hair (hispanic) and this is a great color — not too dark (your brow product should be a couple of shades lighter than your hair to avoid that harsh, drawn-on look), but not too warm-toned (a major problem with a lot of brown brow products). And I love the formula.

nothing yet lisa I imagine later in the Fall. Once the last shipment goes out of the auto ship they prob will make it a fall launch or a perm product.
