Bare Minerals Remix Bronzing Mineral Veil Finishing Powder

Goof proof bronzer here courtesy the new Bare Minerals Remix Bronzing Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25 that recently launched for Spring.

Dude, dunno ’bout you but I avoid bronzers and only occasionally use it. However, when I do use it I need to make sure I have something super lightweight and with some shimmer. If I don’t have such a medium to work with I end up look all kinds of messed up! I have a heavy hand so you can imagine my bronzer application is incredibly cra….! Not pretty.

The Bare Minerals Remix Collection includes this new Bronzing Mineral Veil that’s just a TOUCH of sun with a fool proof formula that anyone can apply.

Even me.

Bare Minerals Remix Bronzing Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25 is a lightweight sheer mineral bronzer veil that acts as a finishing powder to add a touch of the sun to your completed makeup look!

This is a really super silky translucent finishing powder with a hint of bronzing tint. It’s kinda funky as it acts to set your makeup, mattify your skin (not super oily skin mind you), and proceeds to add a gentle touch of sunny glow to your completed look.

The color is a muddy brown with a hint of shimmer. It applies and blends out SUPER easily. Believe me I’m a complete idiot with bronzing application so if I can apply it anyone can.

I don’t particularly like or use bronzer but this adds just a tiny touch of glow to my cheeks. So if you want to go a smidge warmer and give your lackluster, pasty skin a little touch of the sun this easily does so without every looking over done or Snooki-like! No one wants to go that tan, sorry Snook!

The formula is finely milled so it doesn’t accentuate my drier areas and should look smooth and flawless on larger pores.

It features a turquoise special edition top to match up with the rest of the Remix Spring 2013 Collection.

The formula does contain SPF 25 but I’m kinda sorta on the fence about SPF in my powder. You’d sure need to wear A LOT to get good sun protection.

This is available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

Anyone try or use it?

Have you seen the new ones Chanel’s coming out with? They’re coming out next week I can’t wait to give em a try, they are super super sheer and come in like 5 shades.

I use this as I would regular mineral veil. Brown girl approved lol! I didn’t get a chance to pick it when they first brought it to QVC. I was going to pass on it but I’m glad I gave it go. I may pick up another one for a back up. For me they as recommend the tinted mineral which to me ain’t all that tinted teehee. I like this one much better and the Perfect Light one that came in the November TSV.

I’m just so intimidated by bronzer to be honest <:( But this looks pretty.

    They lost me at shimmer. I’m a huge abuser and lover of bronzer, but if its not matte it can only have a teeny itsy bitsy bit of shimmer. This might have been awesome other wise. D;

I’ve recently fallen in love with the original Mineral Veil again… it’s the best setting powder I’ve tried. Makes any foundation look airbrushed, even if you apply it over your starting-to-fade-end-of-the-day face! I use it over liquids and my HG Boots no. 7 Intelligent Mousse foundation and it really controls shine throughout the day 🙂 I was going to pick up a new jar at Sephora recently and ended up cashing my VIB points in for a Bare Minerals minis set which had a mini mineral veil, mini Beauty blush, well rested brightener, and face primer 🙂 I am tempted to try the hydrating mineral veil to see if it is really hydrating while having the same lovely effect as the original – a hydrating powder seems a bit far fetched though.

Thanks for the recommendation, JenJ. I have a dark complexion as well and I do not find the tinted MV, tented enough. I’ve been on a search for another setting powder although I love MV I just think the color is off. I got the deluxe size from QVC today and I’m hoping this will be my HG of setting powders.

I adore this! We live in Central Florida (horse country, not near the beaches) and I spend a lot of time out in the garden, or just sitting and reading by our pool, so I get very tan in the summer (Original Golden Tan mixed with Golden Dark) and the Tinted MV was just making me look ashy. I didn’t get the Remix version, but when the Q offered the jumbo, I grabbed it — then grabbed two more in the following months. It’s been all I hoped it would be — and more. I think in the winter, when I fade out to just a bit darker than Medium Beige, I’ll be mixing it with the Balance and Boost.
