Clarins Skin Illusion Loose Powder Foundation stole my heart away recently and soon after that Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat Mineral Loose Powder swept me away. What is with all these fabulous luxurious powders Clarins has coming at me lately?

Housed in a large jar with a golden stopper this simple yet elegant face powder has a strong yet beautiful violet scent. My inner Mrs Darcy is squeeing in delight at how very feminine, pretty, and delightful this powder is.

Take a look!

I dunno how a powder can be so exciting but it just is. There’s something terribly luxurious about Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat Mineral Loose Powder ($35). Released for Spring 2013 in three shade selections this generously sized translucent powder with it’s velvety finish keeps my skin looking radiant and perfectly finished.

Use it to set your makeup, use a light dusting on a no makeup day to mattify shine and keep skin looking fresh and natural, use it over your favorite cheek skin for a lit from within glow. It’s perfect…! It’s positively silky with a finely milled formula and a powder puff for pressing onto face.

The formula offers very minimal coverage so if you have plans to use it as a foundation you can of course, do so but expect a very sheer, lightweight finish. I personally like to set my BB Cream with it. I don’t typically use powders all that much due to my drier skin but if I’m going to use it Clarins Poudre Multi-Eclat Mineral Loose Powder is a perfectly textured one for all skin types including dry. It settles over face in a soft finish without accentuating my flaky areas yet perfecting my makeup with a flawless finish.

And oh heaven the smell! It smells just like Guerlain’s powders!

Far be it for me to get excited about a mere powder but this is positively luxurious and at such a nice price tag!

Thanks for this muse! How does it compare to the recently reviewed mineral powder? X

    • the Muse

hi claire my pleasure. it’s a setting powder so it is sheer and not as much coverage as that powder. kinda diff products with diff functions 🙂

  • Cj

I’m almost afraid to ask… Do you like this more than the Nars?

    • the Muse

it’s kinda too different products….mmmm so I like both equally ;-D

  • Charleen

I had a completely different reaction actually. The powder has so many little glitters I can’t stand it! I like how it feels but the powder makes my face so shimmery.

    • the Muse

gosh I didn’t get any shimmer at all? so sorry charleen 🙁

I just posted up my review and a pic where you can see the shimmers on my face. I love Clarins so much so I was pretty surprised when this powder didn’t work out for me. I’m using the new Nars loose powder now and I love that one!

Hi, Can you post a picture of the ingredient list for the powder. I love Clarins powders, but have to be cautious with my acne prone skin. Thanks!
