Dior Candide Addict Lipstick Review & Swatches
Dior Addict Lipstick in Candide is a new limited edition shade released with the Dior Cherie Bow Collection for Spring 2013. This mod punch pink is a shade that should look incredible on less than pigmented lips as it has the ability to create a very nice MLBB (my lips but better finish) finish.
However…on my lips it wasn’t so great!
This has a beautiful buttery glide on lips with a high shine finish. Pigmentation is quite sheer here so it doesn’t provide a full opaque finish. The color is a mod peachy punch pink! If you have a pale peach or pink pigmented lips already it’ll clearly define them and amp up the look of them in a beautiful my lips but better finish.
However, those with reddish or pink pigmented lips will find the shade provides more shine than actual color. That was the case for me sadly. It seemed a bit too mod and zombified on my lips. I can’t really do nude shades of mod peach pink as they make me look kinda deathly!
The formula is incredible though and possibly one of the nicest I’ve tried in the Addict Collection. It’s weird how the consistency of the Addict Lipstick Collection varies from shade to shade. Some are drier with more pigment versus others having more shine and sheerer color. Candide definitely falls into the sheerer with more glossiness category.
A smidge darker and I could have pulled this one off!
Those who enjoy shades such as this will be very happy with the overwhelm formula and texture of the lipstick as it’s weightless, shiny, and moisturizing.
Candide is available for a very limited time so do pick it up now before it sells out.
Available at all Dior counters as well as online at Sephora and Nordstrom.
Anyone own any of the Cherie Bow Addict Lipstick shades launched?
