Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara Review

Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara

Essence I Love Extreme Mascara is my new fav budget mascara pick! This little guy provides some great volume along with length.

Take a peek!

It’ll only set you back a fiver too!

This $4.99 mascara is available in a waterproof and non waterproof formula. Funny as I have the non-waterproof version and it wears VERY strong without smudging on me throughout the day and still easily removes at the end of the night! Likey!

This has a long straight line plastic applicator with tiny plastic spikes. It doesn’t grasp lashes particularly well as I notice it sorta of goes clumpy if I get it too close to my lash line. So you have to practice a little patience during application for the best results. I recommend curling lashes prior as this doesn’t do any favors for curling lashes plus your lash curler will bring lashes up and out and prevent messy application.

Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara Spring 2013

A single application creates some very nice volume and a bit of length as well which is typically unheard of with mascaras as most are one trick ponies in my experience. A few layers (wearing a single layer in photos) will produce even fatter more fuller lashes and you won’t end up with stiff, crunchy lash syndrome no matter how much you build.

For the best results I like pairing it with a mascara that will give me a little curl and a length and following up with this for volume. The results are quite nice!

If you need a little boast of volume in your lashes check out this cheap thrill!

I have only tried their Get Big Lashes waterproof mascara, and I liked it quite a lot. It wasn’t super dramatic, but ti gave me more than decent volume and length. And the thing I liked the most about it was that it was so easy to remove at the end of the day, even though it was waterproof — the easiest I’ve tried, I daresay.
I must get this one now!!

So I actually went and picked this up today. I didn’t like it that much! It made a mess and didn’t really wow me. :'{ Glad it worked out for you though <3

Indeed I did. I’ll give it one last try before I make the trip to Ulta. They have London Butter Nail Polish for 9 bucks a bottle today >;D

Wow! I like the subtile effect…and it’ doesn’t look chunky at all!!! In Barcelona (Spain) we have some make-up shops where we can find and test Essence <3<3<3. On the other hand, Nars can be purchased in Sephora but it's really expensive, like $40 each blush T_T. Thanks for your review!

my pleasure Nuria! Europe always baffles me with their price on makeup ouch!

This is my all time favorite mascara, and I don’t like subtle lashes (or subtle makeup in general ;)) at all. I curl my lashes and apply several layers afterwards, and that works out just fine for me – people always compliment me on my beautiful lashes and at least once a week someone wants to know if they’re fake 😉 Weird how the same mascara gives different people such different results.

Also: There is no waterproof version of this, and there never was. What you saw is the black I <3 Extreme which was introduced first. It has a different brush, but neither of them is waterproof!
