Etude House Sweet Recipe Choco Chip Cookie Pact Review & Swatches
Etude House Sweet Recipe Choco Chip Cookie Pact is one of two new powders introduced with the Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection that I recently posted about.
I’ve already reviewed the light Cookie Pack in Almond Chip for you last week so today I’m bringing you a review of the Choco Chip shade which is the darker of the two.
Have a look!
Etude House Sweet Recipe Choco Chip Cookie Pact is a darker creamier beige shade compared to the Almond Chip Pact and contains smaller dark almost bronze “chips” of illuminating color.
This baked powder can be used as a setting powder or as a foundation powder. It’s quite sheer but not nearly as transparent as the Almond Chip shade so if you want lighter coverage that evens out skin tone and hides minor redness and sets the canvas for makeup this can work as a foundation powder of sorts. Almond Chip is a bit pasty in comparison but this is almost but not quite a better match for me.
It comes housed in cardboard compact with a rubber sponge for application. I don’t find the box terribly sturdy so you might not want to travel with it as it could crush easily. The rubber sponge enables you to use the powder dry or wet should you want.
Again, I read reviews saying how this smelled like cookies but I get a strawberry plastic doll scent that’s very, very faint but no cookies or chocolate.
It’s supposed to be radiant sparkling powder but for me it’s semi-matte to matte in finish so it does accentuate my drier areas. It’s mattifying but not enough that it’ll keep oily at bay all day. It does tend to cling to drier areas so I think oily or combination skin might see a better finish.
I said as much with the Almond Chip version and I feel the same about the Choco Chip one, I dont know if you necessarily need to buy it. Its adorable and for that alone it might be worth picking up but there are quite a deal of other powders from Korea which are just as cute but have a friendlier formula. So you might want to think about it before paying the mark ups on E-bay for this.
Etude House is exclusive to Asia but many Ebay sellers have this in stock. Zinopark is one Ive purchased from a few times as he ships fast and has decent pricing and shipping costs (I am not affiliated with this seller).
Anyone try it?
