Hard Candy Shadow Dancers Eyeshadow

Ok, I am in love with the new Hard Candy Shadow Dancers Liquid to Powder Eyeshadow! These dual ended liquid shadows come with two shades and are a mere five bucks each.

I MUST have them all! These launched recently with the Hard Candy Spring 2013 Collection but unfortunately they haven’t hit my local Wally world so I have to wait a bit until I get my hands on all the shades.

For now I’ll review one I have for ya!

Take a peek!

These are a dual sided plastic chubby tube which house two shades of liquid shadow. Each shade has a sponge applicator for application and applies like an absolute dream. Hard Candy says the wear is a solid twelve hours without creasing or fading. Can’t say I got that long a wear from ’em but they wore fairly decent for me.

The shade I tried is entitled Gold Digger and contains a light golden brown on one side and a light gold on the other. The shades compliment each other nicely but I only wore the brown for my look below. The texture is a creamy liquid eyeshadow which applies VERY easily! These are as fool proof as the Flower Creme Shadow I recently reviewed for you. They have a soft texture that glides onto lids like butter and leaves behind a sheer layer of color. They aren’t terribly pigmented but they have enough color to make a statement.

The formula is a joy to use even for those who have had difficulties with cream eyeshadow. They just apply very easily and blend out to a smooth finish. Color is never patchy even during the blending process. The dry down gives you plenty of time to work with the shadow so you can build, blend, and play for a few seconds prior to the shadow setting.

I wore from 7ish AM until around 2:30 PM before seeing some minor fading. Shadow remained crease-free but it lost some of its intensity. BUT not enough to actually notice it unless you were looking for the problem. After five it started to fade further and creased at six. So really it had a fairly strong wear.

Oily lids…mmm I think they might prove crease-y if your lids are oily as they have that type of formula but those with drier, normal lids should find they wear very well!

Overall, these are an EXCELLENT cream shadow. I think they’ll convert even those who hate the medium. I really enjoyed them and will be purchasing other shades.

I ask because I have super oily lids and I like the concept but I am scare that they are going to crease in my lids like you said, but I really want to try them since cream eyeshadows are so easy to apply since I am always on the run.

          SF-

I don’t know if you’ve tried these yet, but I figured I would respond anyway. I typically have oily lids as well, but I put on some primer this morning before applying these colors, and they held up incredibly well. It’s been over 12 hours, and the color is just now slowly starting to fade. I love these duos! They are well worth the investment IMO. I went back and got two more duo wands. Hope this helps 🙂

It looks beautiful on you, Muse!! That dark golden brown would look amazing under UD Smog!

I would never have bothered to try these – thinking there is no way the quality could be good. But wow, is all I can say. The pigment and the colors are fab-u-lous. Makes the muse look all the more a-muse-ing!

Personally, I have enough neutrals and I know I won’t ever get my hands on these unless I buy online (UGH). These are pretty and the brown looks great on you, but I’ll have to look at the other colors.
