L'Occitane En Provence Spring Cherry

Last year, L’Occitane’s Cherry Princess won my heart and this year their new Spring Cherry Eau de Toilette is my newest obsession! L’Occitane En Provence Spring Cherry is a must have my dear friends especially for those who love delicate, flirty little fragrances that make put a little pep in your step!

You NEED this!

L'Occitane En Provence Spring Cherry Eau de Toilette

L’Occitane En Provence Spring Cherry Eau de Toilette isn’t a full on floral nor is it fruity or cherry or cherry blossom anything. It starts out as a slightly masculine/unisex scent in the bottle. There’s a woodsy note here that reminds me of a male cologne but once I spritz it on the classic scent of cherry blossom comes out to play in the background. I do say background because although entitled Spring Cherry it isn’t all about cherry blossom!

Fruity notes of mandarin and a strong yet mellow, soft layer of blackcurrant gives the scent an unusual twist. I think the blackcurrant is what makes the scent so special! It has a fruity layer but musk and woods keep it from being too fruity or too floral.

You have to try it! I know you’ll love it as much as I do.

L'Occitane En Provence Spring Cherry Eau de Toilette Spring 2013

As L’Occitane gets older they seem to get better with fragrances. Lately, their EDT have a stronger linger and an excellent throw. I’m also very impressed with some of their new scents as they have a certain complexity to them that makes them unique enough to warrant back ups. I regret not purchasing a back up of Cherry Princess but I won’t make the same mistake with Spring Cherry!

It’s a must have.

How would you say this differs from their regular Cherry Blossom EDT? Is it just that Spring Cherry has fruity notes and Cherry Blossom doesn’t? It sounds really nice, but Spring Cherry is only available in 1.7 oz. for $42, and Cherry Blossom also comes in a 3.4 oz. for $52, which is a big price difference. ($25/oz. vs. $15/oz.) Do you think it’s worth the extra money to go for Spring Cherry?

the cherry blossom is more floral, more true to a cherry blossom scent and this has an unusual blackcurrant twist that makes it a tad musky with a hint of fruity backnotes…I don’t like Cherry Blossom personally as much as I did the first time I tried it, it’s too floral for me no real fruitiness so I do feel Spring Cherry is a nicer fragrance 🙂 Princess Cherry was equally as lovely. This has a woodsy, musky layer that gives it a certain complexity that isn’t just about floral or fruit notes. God I hope that made sense 😀

Gotcha; totally made sense! 🙂 I don’t normally like straight floral scents either, so Spring Cherry does sound a lot nicer and more complex. I just wish they would make the limited edition scents in the larger bottles!

i couldn’t agree more, I ordered a 2nd bottle after trying this sample because I kicked myself a dozen times with princess cherry!

I am obsessed with L’Occitane fragrances lately – I like florals, so I’m a fan of the regular Cherry Blossom, and sometimes I layer that with my other favorite, the L’Occitane Green Tea EDT.

Have you seen the new L’Occitane Immortelle foundation released in Japan? So jealous…
