MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara Review
MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara ($16) is one of MAC’s newest mascara creations they recently launched. If you’re anything like me when it comes to MAC Mascaras you might be thinking MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash is something you can safely skip.
Because let’s be truthful, MAC Mascara is kinda a hit or miss situation.
But don’t overlook this one…it’s a surprising sleeper hit.
MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara is as basic as basic gets. No whistles here or bells just a simple straight line applicator that’s on the thinner side and resembles, kinda sorta, the new Tightline Mascara from It Cosmetics.
According to MAC this high volume mascara lasts up to sixteen hours while curling, lifting, and enhancing the natural thickness of your lashes with a conditioning formula.
All true, except, maybe, we aren’t looking at sixteen hours of curl!
This actually created some nicely volumized lashes with a good bit of curl. The effect is fuller, lusher lashes with some length and fairly decent curl. It lasts all day on me without fading or smudging and it removes easily at the end of the day. It doesn’t have a stiff or crunchy finish and there are no issues with flaking. For such a thin, tiny wand one you wouldn’t expect this much volume but it indeed pulls lashes upwards, out, and produces a longer, fuller lash line.
I wouldn’t call it the champion of multitasking. It excels at volume and does a fair job with length so if you want extra length I’d suggest curling prior as this aids the mascara at performing its best.
Don’t overlook Extended Play Gigablack Lash as I believe it as the potential to slip off your beauty radar without a bleep. But it is a fairly excellent voluminzing mascara.
