Mark Spicy Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain Review & Swatches

Mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain Spicy

Mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain in Spicy ($11) is a new shade that will be added to the general catalog for Summer 2013 and promoted with the new Mark Marrakesh Collection.

This is a really pretty shade of rich bronze that will go nicely with brown or gold eye looks for Summer.

Take a peek!

Mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain are a click pen gloss with an attached brush applicator for application. The irony is definitely in the name here as the gloss doesn’t technically stain lips it merely offers excellent color however, a stain, no.

This a thicker gloss formula with a weightless feel on lips and a strong glossy finish. It’s quite emollient and moisturizing however, it lacks any stickiness or tackiness to give it a longer wear. I find I need a touch up within a two hour period of application so you are getting a weightless non-sticky gloss but forgoing that tackiness means the wear time is a bit shorter.

Although they name it “stain” I think they are referencing the tint it provides. Color is very true to tube here and provides fairly opaque tint on lips with a nice burst of bronze-y color. Spicy is a unique shade as it reminds me of a tanning gel shade…the color would be awful on my face but looks incredible on lips! It’s a warm, sunny shade that will really look amazing with a brown smoky eye look.

If you’re looking for a really gorgeous shade for Summer I’d check this one out. Spicy is incredible and well worth the purchase! It’s a little bit of a shorter wear time but I’m totally up for that when the shade is this pretty!

RIGHT!? It’s such a surprising shade!

  • 3/29/13 4:00 Quinctia:

This is a shade of brown that will work with the pigmentation in your lips, so I have a feeling this would go plum on me, like a couple other deeper translucent shades I’ve got. (Definitely not a bad thing, but, like many lip products, will probably end up looking same-y on as other things I’ve already got.)
