Maybelline Gold Fuse Blush Review & Swatches
Maybelline Blush in Gold Fuse is the last of three limited edition blushes I’ve been reviewing for you this month that Maybelline launched with the So Electric Collection.
Gold Fuse happens to be my least favorite since it is sheerer than the other blushes in this launch. I mean when you have a killer blush like Coral Burst and you’re following up with Gold Fuse on the back burner, well, you can imagine it feels a little lacking.
Take a look!
This shade is available for a limited time so if you like the looks of it I do urge you to pick it up as soon as possible before it disappears for good.
This happens to be the most shimmery of the three blushes that Maybelline launched. It has a high golden sheen that gives a very pretty glow to cheeks. The beige almost bronze shade has a pretty golden under tone and swatches beautifully but unfortunately doesn’t translate as nicely on skin.
Personally it feels like a ton of shimmery sans any really color so your best bet is to use it as an overcoat of sorts by applying a sheer layer of your favorite cheek stain on cheeks and followed up with a sweep of this for the best results.
The formula is soft, silky yet powdery as it does kick up a good deal of blush when a brush is swept across it. It blends easily but as I mentioned produces more of a shimmery glow versus any major color. If you’re super fair it might just work well for you but those with medium fair, medium, or darker skin tones won’t find it pigmented in the least.
At this price, around $5 and some change at Harmons, it might be worth picking up as the pretty glow it lends cheeks can be very nice so long as you can get on board using it as a highlighter of sorts and not a full blown blush.
It’s available now at drugstores.
Anyone haul it?
