Milani Eyeshadow Primer 1

Milani has a new Eyeshadow Primer on the loose for Spring kids and I’m thinking you need yourself some of this action! At $6.49 for a 0.30 oz tube this is a deal and a half.

Beauty budget fans take a peek!

Milani Eyeshadow Primer

I’m been between primers since losing my beloved Urban Decay Primer Potion formula. It changed, sorry, it did. It’s no longer the same primer I fell in love with.

So I’ve explored my options and found some other great primers to love but I haven’t been as committed to those primers as I was to UDPP even if they are good.

That’s why I cheated on ’em with the newly launched Milani Eyeshadow Primer. It’s the cats pajamas (P.S. What the hell does that even mean? I ever put my cat in PJs she’s claw me an inch from my bloody life!).

Milani Eyeshadow Primer 6

The thing I do like about this is unlike other primers it promises and delivers on intensifying my shadows. Drab to fab here for shades that look great already but maybe need a little boast! Seems like it adds that boast and creates a really vibrant overall look when used under eyeshadow.

The texture resembles the newer tubed UDPP with a thicker, creamy formula. It has a nude, transparent finish and blends easily onto my lids. No issues with that evil separation issue that Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance has. The texture is thicker and less thin than the newly launched Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Primer.

It offers a very solid wear. I wore it under both loose and solid shadows and cream and had excellent crease-free wear for up to 10 hours. I worked out for 90 minutes on my treadmill with it and my shadow remained crease-free. Not a hiccup through sweat. Color kinda faded and lost intensity hour six but my shadow remained crease-free on my drier eyes without any issues.

Overall, an excellent shadow primer that not only keeps shadows locked in place but also intensifies colors for a vibrant finish.

Loves it.

Great budget pick for priming!

Just saw a post about it last night. Glad to hear it’s a good one.

ITA, this is a great drug store primer, Muse. It’s even as good and my HG Tarte eye primer. My Tarte comes out watery at times and this has not. Love how it’s creamy , too 🙂

Can you show a comparison swatch of how it intensifies eyeshadows? 🙂

I saw this in store today and was like “Nah, I’ll wait for The Muse to review it first to see if I wanna purchase.” Hehehehehe Well I’m definitely getting it now 😀 I need a new primer and was hoping this was a winner, especially for the price. Thank you ^^

my pleasure saiba ;-D update me what you think when you tried!

Thanks for the review Muse, I’ve been wondering about this one. May have to try it just out of curiosity.

Bare Minerals Prime Time primer never gets any love, and it’s my absolute favorite. UDPP never worked for me, my eyelids still got oily and I had runny eyeliner. But BE, it’s the bomb! I’ve been using it for years, don’t know what I’d do if they ever got rid of it. I’ve heard peeps complain that the tube is sooo tiny, but it lasts me forever! I mean at least 9 months. It takes such a tiny bit and my eyeliner and shadows are locked in place all day.

my pleasure angel ;-D If you try give me a heads up what you think! I like the colored prime times ;-D Happy to hear it. Hey whatever works ya know? ;-D

I have enough primers, thank you! All of them are UDPP, in the original genie bottle and I have a nice sample in the tube from their Xmas deal when they offered all those samples. 3 1/2 different genie bottles of the Original, 1 nearly full tube, and 1 genie bottle of Sin. XD I think I’ll be okay for a while!

90 minutes on the treadmill is pretty badass! I barely want to do anything that feels good for 90 minutes…

lol thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 times a week! I actually only do it in the winter/summer, otherwise I do it outside every morning four miles (two going, two coming back) feels amazing when the Spring/Fall is here…but right now, stuck indoors doing it=not as fun!

Have you tried MUA’s eye primer? I quite like the feel of it but haven’t had full testing day yet.

I feel like a complete dork, when did UD change their primer potion formula?! I accidentally bought one when I already had a full tube, so I’m good for another 6 months. I’m very afraid.

i dunno seemed to change when they went to tube 🙁 doesn’t work the same for me at ALL!

  • Iris

I recently opened and am using an Essence eye primer but I’ll be looking for Milani as one of my future “to trys” when I’m done my current primer.
