MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss Review & Swatches

MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses LipGloss

I picked up some MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss during their last sale and now I’m kicking myself for not getting more. These are quite a great formula at this price and provide an opaque finish that’s more a liquid lipstick than a gloss!

Do likey!

MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss

At around four bucks each it’s a shame we don’t have access to MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss here in the states. You can purchase these from their website for £2 but shipping is a bit costly if you aren’t doing a large order. I’d recommend heading into a purchase with a friend and sharing the shipping costs or waiting for some sort of shipping coupon to save a bit of money.

MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss Swatches

Smooch, Kiss and Make Up, and Kiss and Tell

MUA Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss are available in eight shades. Two of the three shades I tried had excellent liquid lipstick pigmentation and provided full coverage in a single application. To say I was impressed was an understatement as where can you get this much pigmentation in a gloss at such a small price tag?!

Pigment aside they also have a very lightweight, comfortable formula that hugs lips like a second skin and has a high sheen finish. It’s not a glossy finish by any means but it does provide a hint of a sheen to lips which gives the gloss a very nice look. I wouldn’t really dub these a traditional gloss formula as the thinner consistency has a weightless non-stick feel on lips and provides some of the best opaque coverage I’ve experienced in a gloss. Wear time varies but I got a nice solid four hours without the color migrating, feathering, or fading (this was without eating or drinking).

They only have one shimmer shade available and this seemed the weakest in terms of color as it acts more as an overcoat to a gloss or lipstick providing shimmer but very little color. Outside of this shade the other two I tried had excellent pigment.

It’s rather sad we have to pay such high shipping fees to grab some but there are always sales to look forward too plus it might just be worth indulging as these are well worth paying a higher price tag for. Quality is excellent for a budget brand!

I think you mean “two of the three” instead of “three of the two!” :)

These look lovely! Definitely going to look into these but wait for a sale or something before picking some up. Plus I have so many lippies to go through!

I have 3 of these and I have to say I was pretty impressed. I don’t like glosses because of the sticky factor but these products feel really nice on the lips. and you can’t fault the pigmentation.
