My Beauty Diary 2 Step Africa Hydrating Pack Review

My Beauty Diary 2 Step Africa Hydrating Pack 2

My Beauty Diary started launching 2 Step Facial Sheet Masks about a year ago. The Africa Hydrating Pack is one of those 2 Step Packs.

The mask is formulated with Africa’s wild natural plant ingredients such as mango, Morocco myrtle, sea coconut, and frankincense extract supposedly. Considering I have drier skin I definitely wanted to give it a try.

Take a look!

My Beauty Diary 2 Step Africa Hydrating Pack comes in a box of eight individually wrapped masks. Each mask has a tiny essence packet which you rip off and apply after the sheet mask portion.

For the first step you’ll apply the Mango Moisturizing Mask on your face for 20-30 minutes. The sheet mask is made from a thinner cotton fiber heavily saturated in essence with cut outs for eyes, lips, and nose. The mask has a rather strong fresh scent which kinda reminds me of shampoo. I’d be careful if you’re sensitive to scent as in comparison to other My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks it’s very strong.

After 30 minutes I remove the mask and my face is super hydrated. Glycerin is one of the main ingredients here so that may be why I’m so soft and hydrated after use that I could probably glide across the floor.

After the mask you follow up by pressing (or massaging) the Myrtle Rejuvenating Emulsion into your skin. This is the tiny packet I told you about that’s included with the mask. It’s located on the upper portion of the package and is marked with the cute little hot air balloon. The essence is a thicker, white creamy texture with a gel-like feel. It absorbs easily but it leaves my face fairly sticky even after it absorbs. It’s not something that’s uncomfortably sticky but it is a bit tacky.

This is a fairly good mask to deliver much needed moisture to drier skin. Especially if your skin is lackluster due to being dehydrated. I like using it once a week to restore moisture and keep Winter skin soft and hydrated. The sticky essence is kinda sorta a deal breaker for me since My Scheming does similiar two step masks without all that tack and similiar results.

If your skin is in need of more moisture this one is worth looking into so long as you don’t mind the sticky feel!
