New Skincare to Try for Spring

New Skincare

Spring always seems like a good time to sort through your old skincare especially January when you’re possibly making a beauty resolution to take better care of your skin.

I know personally I try really hard to ditch the skincare I am currently using and replace it with something new I’d like to try or an old favorite as typically at this point it is nearing a year old. I tend to get anal about skincare and label the back of jars with the date I purchased the product. This is a handy way to know when it’s time for that product to be swept away and replaced. Label makers are so cheap at Staples and I promise it isn’t terribly Sheldon Cooper of you to label makeup or skincare products as a gentle reminder that it is indeed time to toss something out.

Here are several new skincare products that you might want to check out!

L’occitane Immortelle Brightening Face Mist $20
An alcohol-free formula enriched with Immortelle floral water and Bellis Perennis keeps skin hydrated all day while illuminating it. Can double up as a setting mist for makeup as well!

Peter Thomas Roth Neuroliquid Volufill Youth Serum $120
Ouch! It must do dishes and walk the dog for this price! But Peter Thomas Roth’s new does contain 19, yes 19 amino acids, 5 peptides, 3 collagens, hyaluronic acid, and a partridge in a pear tree. I could have lied about that last part. This serum helps to restore the appearance of fullness to the skin with giving it back its radiance.

Oh, geez. I always intend to label my skincare products with the date I opened them, but I inevitably forget. Please help me be good and responsible and actually do it! I have so many skincare & cosmetic products, and they just keep piling up–I vaguely know which products are older (because I’ve moved on to the “bigger and better” items), but I sometimes go back to using them, even though I’m aware that they may be a bit…dated. Not good, I know!

As far as skincare lemmings go, I’ve been eyeing the Rojukiss Vita C Dual Mask and the Original Pure Vitamin C-20 Serum. I never really thought about brightening my skin or alleviating my dark spots until I became addicted to your blog, but it’s now a mission for me, lol, and vitamin C is apparently great for that. I’m also intrigued by a couple of blackhead removing sheets from Skinmiso and Ciracle, as well as a pore minimizing serum by Elishacoy. Problem is, there aren’t too many reviews out there about all these items, and those that exist seem…I dunno, biased or maybe influenced by their respective companies. Maybe I’m just paranoid and they’re actually awesome, but I won’t know until I try, right?

Ohhhhh, speaking of skin-brightening products, I’ve seen you rave about a product or set by Philosophy–Miracle Worker, I think? I’m also intrigued by their Turbo Booster C Powder.

I guess my lemmings aren’t technically new products, but they’d be new to me!
