Revlon Pink Lemonade Colorburst Lip Butter Review & Swatches
As you know Revlon has a few new Colorburst Lip Butters floating around and Pink Lemonade happens to be one. Now I discussed a few times already that these new shades aren’t as consistent a formula as the original. Pink Lemonade happens to be the worst offender of the four shades in terms of pigmentation and quality.
The color itself is a hard one to pull off as it’s a pale mod pinky peach. The color might be best for a super fair skin tone with less than pigmented lips however, anyone in between might feel the shade makes them look deathly…or at least it made me look zombied.
Take a peek!
Pink Lemonade has an unfortunate formula as it applies horribly. This tugs awfully which leads to uneven coverage and patchiness. The texture also feels and looks dry on my lips accentuating every single line, nook, and cranny. My lips aren’t aging but this shade makes it look like they are plus gives a chapped lip look to my mouth that is far from flattering. On top of all this the formula is very melty which lead to a large chunk breaking off the tip during application.
After ALL this I can’t begin to tell you how unflattering I find the color.
Le sigh!
Unfortunately Pink Lemonade is a shade I’d avoid at all costs.
It’s available as part of the new Revlon Gucci Westman Collection that launched for Summer 2013 but all signs are pointing to the fact that this might become a standard shade and part of the general catalog.
I located it at CVS but reports are coming in that Target has it available in the general catalog so look at the Revlon Lip Butter display for this shade and the other three!
Anyone try Pink Lemonade?
