Sephora Jasmine Three Wishes Eyeliner Set Review & Swatches

Sephora Jasmine Three Wishes Eyeliner Set

The new Sephora Disney Jasmine Three Wishes Eyeliner Set ($42) is for the hardcore liner users out there. This three piece set combines all the great eyeliner mediums including gel, liquid, and pencil formulas.

Do you actually need a set that includes this much eyeliner is the question? I’d personally love a gel eyeliner, mascara, and maybe some sort of eyeshadow. That’s just because I’m not much for liquid eyeliner! BUT I do think the set is kinda the perfect addition to your own beauty arsenal if you’re one for using eyeliner daily.

Take a look!

Jasmine Three Wishes Eyeliner Set

The Three Wishes Eyeliner Set includes the following:
Liquid Eyeliner (0.33 oz)
Pencil Eyeliner (0.087 oz)
Gel Eyeliner (0.19 oz)
Slanted Brush

The pot, tube of liner, and pencil all feature a gold lame print with a matte black finish. These are quite elegant little pieces. I admit I questioned whether I really needed it though. First off you can get the L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner and L’Oreal Infallible Gel Eyeliner for as little as, mmm, say $14 for both at Walmart. If you want to round that number up say it’ll set you back $20 for those two products and BOTH are excellent especially the L’Oreal Infallible Gel Eyeliner. So why pay $42 for this set?

It’s all about the design dearies. The marketing is here so if you really love Jasmine and you want some cute limited edition eyeliners with a Princess Jasmine theme perhaps this will appeal. Otherwise save your $42 and just get some of L’Oreal’s offerings.

On the upside….

All the products are formulated wonderfully. At first I felt like every single product outside the liquid liner was a little dry but they take a moment to warm up and proceed to go creamy. The eyeliner has a creamy formula that applies easily without skipping. It wore long and strong on my drier eyes as did the gel eyeliner both of which also had richly pigmented black color pay off. Although I admit, the Infallible Gel Eyeliner has an even better formula but I digress….

The liquid liner has a thin brush applicator with a thick formula. It applies evenly and smoothly at first application with a slow dry down. Once set it wore quite nicely on my eyes for eight full hours without a hiccup and removed easily at the end of the night. It does have a slower setting period so you’ll have to give it a moment to dry down prior to doing anything else with your eyes.

Overall, it’s a very cute set. The packaging and the marketing behind it is excellent but I question whether you need to spend $42 on it. A fairer deal might be $20 and even than it might be too much.

Did you haul the set?

Did you feel it was worth the price tag?

Do share!

I agree that eyeliner looks exactly like the L’Oreal one. Those are my FAVORITE! I have the grey and brown and I’m kind of obsessed. I’m gonna have to check out the gel eyeliner now too… I bought a few of the E.L.F. ones for $3 a pop and they’ve done really well for the most part.

sara if you haven’t tried the loreal gel one you MUST MUST get it. It’s amazing 😀

Whaaat? 42 bucks!? O_O I don’t think it worth it… I really like the design and everything, but Jasmine is far from being my fav princess and, as you said, it’s better to buy L’Oreal products.

ah yes! you finally reviewed this! <3 Hmm.. may consider this but because of my contacts i don't like experimenting with eyeliners too much! some get my contacts really cloudy when put on the waterline.

also, have you heard of the new regulations they're putting on bloggers about press samples? it's quite interesting, i've noticed several bloggers changing their ways lately!

hi jasmine! It’s a really nice set 🙂 Yes, I heard. My disclosures are located on the bottom of every single post and have been since for several years now and will be updated probably this weekend to also be included on the top. FTC kinda sprung it at us without taking into consideration that we can’t simply build these things into our templates on a snap of our fingers ;-D there’s coding involved. But of course, Musings will be updated to comply with these new regulations shortly 🙂

This looks really lovely, but I’m going to have to pass on the price tag (Coming from the girl who spent 20 dollars on the compact and has no plans to actually use it).
