Smashbox Love Me Blush 2

Smashbox Love Me Blush in Idolize Me is a new limited edition shade launched with the Smashbox Love Me Spring 2013 Collection.

Smashbox teamed up with graffiti artist Curtis Kulig to create the Love Me Collection as one of his most famous tags is “Love Me”. The Love Me tag decorates both the box and the imprint of the powder blush.

Take a peek!

Smashbox Love Me Blush Spring 2013

The Smashbox Love Me Blush ($28) contains special limited edition packaging featuring Curtis’ legendary Love Me Tag. Both the solid black matte compact and the box it comes housed in are decorated with the tag. Inside the powder is also imprinted with the Love Me Tag. The tag might swipe away with daily use of the blush but it will stick around well into a few uses before disappearing.

The shade is entitled Idolize Me and is a semi-matte poppy pink shade. The color has elements of both pink and peach and lends a warmer shade of both on my cheeks. The shade quite reminds of Tarte’s Blissful as it has that natural watermelon pink finish to it.

Smashbox Love Me Blush

The formula is a bit drier without shimmer or sparkle of any kind but blends easily onto cheeks with a soft, smooth finish. At a swatch it does come across slightly dry and chalky but blends and applies beautifully with an airbrushed quality. I was a little worried the drier texture would accentuate my drier skin but it looks soft, smooth, and perfect.

Smashbox Love Me Blush Swatches

Cost is a little high at $28 but does contain a good deal of blush at 0.29 oz.

Overall, it’s a lovely little blush with a great formula. Price is iffy for me, would love a shave down of $5-$8 dollars but you do get a good deal of product here. If you’re looking for a light yet natural shade of watermelon blush for Spring this is a perfect shade. I love the fact it doesn’t clash with eye looks and remains very natural and fresh! Great shade!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Looks nice on you! I got this blush but haven’t tried it.

Also. may I ask what did you wear on your lips? The color looks nice too.

    • the Muse

let I can’t remember that moment but it is a maybelline whisper shade!

  • Ruth

We must have had the same shopping list this past weekend! I picked this up too as well as the two lip sticks. This is a great shade, applies well but is easy to over do the application. I had clown cheeks. oops! whatever, I rocked them like i was on a runway all day =D the lippies had a smooth application but tempt me is a more spring/summer color that’ll get put into the stash for a month or so till it warms up.

    • the Muse

i didn’t get the lipsticks stop tempting me like I need another red lipstick ;D!

turn about is fair play =D btw, did you see converse is having their FF sale?

    • the Muse

stfu because I already ordered those kicks I wanted and now I got the email for 20% off, rub it on why don’t you! we can’t be friends anymore *turns away and huffs* 😀

        • Ruth

*big, sad eyes & pouty lip* but I still love you…

that sh!t happens to me all the time, too. effin’ UD. after I bought both of the Oz pallets they put the damn things on sale. if the shoes haven’t shipped, call and see if they’ll apply the discount. they did that for me in Jan when I put my order and the NEXT DAMN DAY they had a sale.

          • the Muse

they did it for me too they are AWESOME like that but I didn’t call because it already shipped out 🙁 so I didn’t think they’d honor it I should try anyway 😀 I love you backssss 😀

  • Ruth

they may since you seem to own every pair they make =) I wanna know what’s up with the new line that look used and are more expensive?!? that seems so bananas to me; i can get worn ones at the thrift store for like $5. is it a hipster thing? are they ironically dirty?

    • the Muse

i think those are kinda ugly actually….if that’s a worn look I’ll skip! LOL! I have to admit the one time I freaked was getting caught in rain with my WW ones on. I like a worn chuck as much as the next one but not my special print ones hehe ;-D ps the year of the snake was a vast disappointment compared to dragon :-/ they really need to do something new, seems a while since they introduced something I really wanted and WTF is with the special green day boxes NOW after I got the original releases with plain boxes., not cool!

      • Ruth

I’ll wear out the black ones because they can be easily replaced but the LE’s are only worn when the weather is nice. I have one pair of purple satin that are only worn in the summer and the weather report is checked before they even emerge from the house. and IF it might rain, i take another pair with me, just in case. one time i forgot, it rained, shoes were in a bag and was walking barefoot through target’s parking lot. I don’t keep the boxes, regardless of what’s on it. shhh…don’t tell but I have an old cat that likes to pee on boxes and bags so that kind of stuff isn’t safe in my house.

        • the Muse

oh no! I can’t give up the boxes. I have boxes that go back 15 years. it’s a disease I do the same crap with makeup 🙁 I really need to get off the “must keep ALL boxes” thing I got going on. awwww….I got an old cat too…she doesn’t pee on stuff though…how old is old? Poor dear!

          • Ruth

your baby is better behaved than mine because he’s a real jerk about spraying. He’s 12 and diabetic. The vet thinks that he got a UT and we didn’t catch it in time, hence the peeing. Our vet told us she has the same problem, dunno if she said to make us feel better, but it did. and she’s a behavior specialist too! What are you saving the boxes for? are you eventually going to sell your treasures and they must be in their original cartons? if so, I think that we wear the same size and i’ll be HAPPY to help you unload some of your chucks =D

What a beautiful color! I’m usually a shimmery blush type of gal, but I think this with a nice golden highlight would be beautiful!

    Wish listed!
