Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Highlighter Stick Review

Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Highlighter

Allow me to introduce you to Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Highlighter Stick in Sparkling Sands which is an ideal dupe for Benefit Watts Up at a fraction of the cost!

Check this out!

Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Highlighter Stick Sparkling Sands

This gorgeous $10.99 highlighter stick is available in two shades and is pearl infused for creating a pretty illuminated effect on cheeks, face, and eyes.

I really like Watts Up however, that $30 price tag hurts my feelings. Sonia Kashuk’s Chic Luminosity Highlighter is a mere ten bucks and produces the same great glow.

Housed in a convenient swivel up tube this little guy is completely travel friendly for adding glow on the go.

You know how much a klutz I am with highlighter but this is super easy to use. Glide it onto cheek bones to add natural light to your face or on your high brow to create the illusion of more wide awake eyes. It has a creamy formula that blends easily onto skin. Triglycerides ensure that the stick blends smoothly and adheres perfectly. The pearl finish isn’t glittery or shimmery and merely produces a pretty naturally glow-y finish.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The swatch looks beautiful! I’ve been wanting Benefit’s Watts Up for forever now but just couldn’t make myself spend that $30! Will definitely be stopping by Target on the way home from work tomorrow! Thanks for the review! (and for saving me about $20!)

I am *addicted* to highlighting (and contouring) products, but I always have to stop myself, or I’d be completely broke, LOL! However, at this pricepoint, I will likely indulge; I also don’t have anything worthwhile in cream form, so that’s another reason to justify this.

I just got my B-Day gift from Sephora with a little mini watts up and they’re real mascara. I knew I liked the mascara but I wasnt’ sure how I would like the highlighting stick. It’s ok but I think I’ll stick with my IT highlighters for now.

Just my opinion but I think the IT products may be just a tad more finely milled? Even though one of them is a cream type, the glow seems more glowy and less “frosty”. I’m not saying that Watts Up is frosty but it is just a bit more than the IT products.

And, if that made no sense then – I’m claiming migraine. LOL

Definitely making a trip to target this week to try this out. I actually really like Sonia’s cosmetics.

are you having the problem with these highlighters not being able to roll back down after you rolling them up to use them??? I LOVE THESE highlighters and have both colors. but this is driving me crazy! i have to push the stick back down with my fingers every time 🙁 am i missing something????

    • the Muse

kalea might be a fluke, didn’t have issues with mine, would rec returning and getting a new one!

    • tyler

  • kalea

The moment I saw the swatches I was going to EXPLICITLY ask you if this could give Watts Up a run for it’s money – and high ho, it does! Thank you!
I’m still on my 2013 Sephora Beauty Insider birthday deluxe sample so I won’t be snatching SK’s highlighter this instant. 🙂

Also: I don’t understand why Watts Up would have an attached smudger on its bottom… it’s just… unhygienic.
