Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer Review & Swatches

Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer

Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer ($10.99) is one of thee most interesting bronzers I’ve had the pleasure of using. I’m not a bronzing person and I find them difficult to apply correctly but this is probably one of the most innovative formulas I’ve run across that melds perfectly with skin creating a VERY natural, smooth, seamless finish.

Take a look!

This a cream bronzer that’s available in two shade selections with a built in SPF 20. I’m not really up for moisturizers, foundations, etc…which contain SPF. It’s a nice added protection but you’d really have to apply a ton of said product to get the best benefits in regards to sun protection so I do recommend a sunscreen under any product, moisturizer, etc…that you apply.

If you’re a big bronzer person I HIGHLY suggest trying out Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer as it is one of thee most innovative bronzers I’ve tried.

Cream bronzers aren’t terribly common to begin with as many are in a powder medium however, this is not only cream but has a thinner consistency which gives skin translucent, buidable coverage that looks as close to a real tan as anything you’d get from ANY other powder or cream bronzer. The color is seamless, it just blends and melds to skin like a second skin. It’s undectable as a makeup product and looks very real and very natural.

I’m not a bronzing expert by any means but this has to be one of the best bronzers I’ve used that gives such a natural tanned effect. The soft, creamy texture blends out easily creating that perfect lit from within glow.

If you religiously use bronzer daily or even if you’re one for embracing it in the Spring and Summer I highly urge you to check this out. The formula is incredibly different and like nothing you’ve tried before.

It’s available now at Target and Target.com

Anyone try it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I almost picked this up last weekend, LOL, but I wasn’t sure about it… The Target I went to was all out of just about *everything* new, and there was literally only one of these left. I *really* wanted the highlighter sticks, and if they had any in stock, I probably would’ve gone ahead an grabbed this one, too. Well, I have another Target trip planned for this weekend, so here’s hoping!

  • Carmen

im very excited to go get this!! do you think it would be good for contouring!!?

    • the Muse

could carmen but the color runs very deep so you’d have to be a bit darker to use it but def could work 🙂

  • gracie

Ooh.. looks nice! How do you think it compares to the Chanel cream bronzer??

    • Jessica

I had to return the Chanel because it was too orange on me – I think the Sonia Kashuk looks more natural. The Chanel had a bit of a thicker texture as well, while this is very lightweight. If you’ve tried any the MAC Sculpting Creams, I find this very comparable!

  • Chelsea

Oh man, I’m going to have to hit up Target. I’m not a bronzer person normally (I’m a fair, freckly ginger, a lot of them look muddy on me) but I want to try this.

  • Angelica

Looks beautiful! Is there any shimmer or sparkle? I’m looking for a good matte bronzed to contour and if this is shimmer free, I think I may have found it.

  • Murtagh

In the pan it looks matte, but in your swatch there are obvious particles of shimmer (which won’t be good for contouring) — Do both shades have shimmer particles in them?

    • the Muse

no shimmer no sparkle murtagh, the flash hit it at an angle so it appears a little shimmery but there isn’t any shimmer.

  • Jessica

I bought this too and love it! It reminds me of my MAC Sculpting Cream. It stays on my skin a long time, too!

  • Katie T.

Hum. I’m confused about the name. Why would I want a bronzer that’s undetectable? A foundation, maybe, but a bronzer?

    • the Muse

it’s a reference to being a natural finish katie. they don’t literally mean it’s undetectable, hope this helps.

  • Heather

This looks so good! If it were here in Aus I’d get my hands on it immediately.

  • Anna

Muse – you said its available in two shades. Which one did you pick up? Haven’t seen these in my Target yet but am on the lookout. Thanks.

  • Lori

Oooh looks interesting!! I’m headed to Target tonight to pick up her limited edition hairbrushes!

How would you recommend applying this?? Fingers or a fiber brush??

    • the Muse

either would work great lori! fiber brush is nicer for a more airbrushed look!

  • Tammy

I really want to try this! I know Sally Hansen (the Carmindy collection) came out with something like this a few years ago and I loved it.

  • Liddy

Oooh I’ve never tried a cream bronzer before. From the way the light is hitting your swatch, it looks shimmery. Is it? I don’t like shimmer in much. I like things to look as natural as possible 🙂

  • Aida

I need this in my life. I’m actually going to Target after work today and you just helped add one more thing to my shopping list. Enabler! THANK YOU!!!!! 🙂

  • daniela

muse what colour do you have because I was searching online and there are two shades!
I am an nc20, which one do I buy?
    thank you
    dani ♥

    • the Muse

hi dani this is rich bronze….I’m not sure which you should buy really depends on how deep you want your bronzer to be. the other shade is more of a lighter creamier color from what I’ve seen 🙂

  • Audrey

I got excited after seeing this review, a cream bronzer?? Sounds awesome! Sadly, it wasn’t at my Target. They did have the Bare Illuminating Bronzer, but its entirely too illuminating for my taste. I did pick up Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Summertime ( please review Muse! Its FABULOUS) to satisfy the disappointment, which is going out on a limb for me because I always check your reviews since I always end up wasting money on impulse makeup buys. Your reviews are dead on the money and I love this site!

  • PianoGirl

Apparently this is a dupe for Chanel’s Soleil de tan cream bronzer, which is about $48. I hope this is true!

  • cherry

Hi, I’m looking for a cream bronzer for forever. I have nc30 skin, which shade bronzer do you think i should get, thanks.

  • Ashley

Hi Muse! I have been dying to try this one out! Is the glitter in this bronzer very prominent on skin?
