Stila Festival of Color for Summer 2013

I’m in love with the new Stila Festival of Color Summer 2013 Collection simply because their new Countless Color Pigments look amazing! It isn’t clear whether these can be used on cheeks and eyes as of yet so I tweeted Stila a few minutes ago to confirm.

IF they can be used on my face, lordie, I’ll be broke! Because there are so MANY pretty shades here that would make an excellent blush.

Take a look!

Stila After Glow Lip Color $18
Stila’s black light responsive lip color contain florescent pigments that are three times brighter than conventional colors, creating a vibrant pop of color in the sunlight. Once the sun goes down, black light sensitive pigments cause the product to glow when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.

Oh. My. Goodness! I love those pigments, the Smudge Stick and.. well, everything! Too bad Stila is so hard to get our hands on over here, especially the newer products. Sucks. I need that red/orange/yellow pigment, and the purple, and the blue/pink/yello, and….! :D

Those pigments look really awesome :)
I guess if they’re intended to be used as eyeshadow, you can use them as a blush too? I can’t imagine a company like Stila coming out with non face-safe products..

The turquoise liner seems interesting too.

I just ordered two of the pigments and one of the lipsticks. They have a sale going on their site this weekend so perfect time to try.

I was tempted to try the eyeliner too but I already have a turquoise eyeliner. Though it looked kinda minty and I am looking for a mint eyeliner. The pigments look awesome!

This is love at first sight! I hope Stila introduces these in South Africa at the end of this year (it is Autumn here) because I just want them all! I love reading your blog posts but most of the products we don’t get here, so this is an exciting one for me!

If the pigments are safe for eyes, then there shouldn’t be a problem using them as blush. Typically, the issue lies in shades not being “eye-safe” due to certain sensitivities in the eye area (reds, and shades containing red, are usually the culprit), or the possibility of staining the skin. That’s also the reason some products can’t be sold in the US, due to regulations, or there are “warnings” to US consumers on the label. I think these will be fine on the cheeks if thery’re suitable for eyes, unless you have an allergy or sensitivity to a specific ingredient (in which case, use as eyeshadow wouldn’t be a good idea).

The color compact thingies (can’t remember name!XD) CAN be used on the eyes! Portrait of Mai mentioned these on her FB page, as she had talked to Stila at I think IMATS or something like it.

Those all look so cool. The eyeshadows reminds me of ones the makeup brand Fetish used to have years ago. They were two colours which swirled together to form one or you could use them separately. The glosses are really cute too.

The Countless Colors are EYE-SAFE! Stila confirmed this already for someone else. I also know I want some of them, the ones that kind of look like galaxies! My comments also seemingly keep getting deleted…

danii no comments are deleted unless they are hurtful to others or myself. it could be it didn’t get approved yet as I’m very behind on comments do to the weekend and work and such. I’m getting through them today, otherwise comments are not deleted :) occasionally if you live an URL in a comment it could go to spam and I have no way of knowing as sometimes the site generates over 900 spam comments within an hour (Viagra, etc…) and I delete them, I don’t actually go through these as it would take too much time to do so. So typically it’s a bulk delete. Yeah, I tweeted Stila asking if they are safe for your face, it was obvious they are eye safe considering they explained that in the video and the description but not whether or not they can also be used on the face, that was the real question but Stila tweeted they could be so that’s good news.
