Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream Spring 2013 Shades Review & Swatches

Too Faced has extended their incredible La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream Collection to include four new shades for Spring 2013. New colors include Loganberry, So Berry Sexy, Teddy Berry, and Bumbleberry.

Being a great lover of the La Creme Lipstick formula I was very excited to check these new shades out.

La Creme is such a game changer for the cream lipstick world. It’s one of the best cream lipsticks I’ve ever tried. I tend to dislike cream lipsticks as they look dry on me and the shades go kinda mod…I dunno it just isn’t a flattering finish for me. But Too Faced really perfects the formula and the finish of the traditional cream lipstick.

These are rich, creamy, pigmented, and have an easy glide across lips without tugging. They apply like a dream, have a soft, smooth finish, and pack a ton of pigment. On top of that they have a slightly glossy finish and a very hydrating wear. All of this is unheard of when it comes to cream textured lipsticks or at least that’s been the case for me.

Some of us are eyeshadow girls, some love blushes, others lipsticks. I consider myself an eyeshadow girl so I don’t have a ton of lipstick formulas that I favor and must have. However, La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream definitely falls into my HG list of must own lipsticks.

Having been so recently introduced I think the new Spring shades were a surprise for me. Brands tend to introduce a product, particularly a great one, and let it fall to the sidelines sometimes so I was SO happy that Too Faced added new shades for Spring. They have an excellent lipstick here and maintaining the line for fans is a smart, smart way to keep the attention of those fans and even gain new ones who never tried the product but will be lured in by a bigger variety of shades.

The other thing I was happy about was the shades they choose to go with. These are so damn wearable. Sometimes brands introduce new shades and tend to go with odd colors particularly since this is a Spring launch. You kinda get that scary “Lets introduce pastel shades of pink for Spring!” thing going on and I just find that not a whole lot of people are going to want a mod shade of pink lipstick. I just don’t think it’s a universally flattering shade but seems to wriggle its way into Spring releases. Too Faced smartly went with colors we’d wear daily but aren’t necessarily about the season.

Again, very smart of them.

I do highly recommend checking these shades out. Aside from So Berry Sexy I found all the shades gorgeous additions to my lipstick wardrobe. These are shades you’ll reach for and use daily with all your looks. Who doesn’t need a beautifully textured lipstick to complete their makeup look?

La Creme has my highest approval and rec.

These are a beautiful lipstick worthy of a pick up.
