Victoria’s Secret Sheer Blush Cheek Tint Review & Swatches
As you know Victoria’s Secret recently introduced two new Sheer Blush Cheek Tints that will be available for a limited time for Spring 2013.
This blushes look a lot like YSL’s Voile de Blush Gel Blush but have a far friendly price tag of $14.
Take a peek!
Considering YSL’s version is $30 bucks I’d say Victoria’s Secret has a handle on my purse strings. These generously sized squeeze tubes contain a buildable cream gel blush that gives cheeks a sheer wash of color for a natural flush.
The gel texture blends effortlessly on cheeks leaving behind a very pretty sheer wash of color. I tried both shade shades, Idolize (subtle fuchsia pink) and Spotlight (coral), and both had an airbrushed natural appearance that appeared as if I was naturally blushing. The formula is quite moisturizing and doesn’t cling to flaky areas nor will it accentuate pores. It dries down to a soft slightly dewy finish and can be used to create a very subtle look or built up for a more intense color pay off.
At a swatch the shades actually appear very, very sheer but this is misleading as they build up to a very nice vibrancy. So if you’re swatching in store and fear they look and appear too sheer don’t give up! They actually end up looking incredible with a few more swipes in place.
Wear time is a tad shorter at around four hours before I saw some fading however, the pink shade seems to have a longer wear of at least six hours.
If you like and use gel blushes daily I’d recommend checking these out. They are an excellent pick for the warm weather ahead when you just want to go a bit lighter with your makeup!
Available now, for a limited time, at Victoria’s Secret or online at www.victoriassecret.com
Note: Apologies, I don’t have images of the tubes as I got press samples and they came without any official packaging so I used a promo photo for this review!
