Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner 1

Excuse me but I’d like to interrupt your current programming and to say you NEED the Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner that recently launched with the Tarte Summer 2013 Collection.

Yes, you do.

Well, if you already have the Tarte Call of the Wild Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner you might not need it but than again, there is that limited edition Aqualillies packaging….who could resist that?

Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner Summer 2013

Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner is available in a new limited edition turquoise shade entitled Splash (more on that later this week) and the shade I’m featuring in this interview, Black.

The liner comes in a cute turquoise capped glass jar. They also included a double ended bamboo liner brush which allows easy application. One side of the brush has is angled and the other a straight lined brush. The bristles are extremely thin for easy application of the liner.

The formula of the liner is a lovely, glossy shade of black. I feel like it differs from the EmphasEYES formula and finish as this is way glossier and way blacker. If you’re one for blacker than black gel liners this is the perfect formula for you as it is nicely pigmented.

It applies like a dream without any tugging or relining required and if you want to smudge it you can easily do so. It does however, need a second to set as the dry down is a few seconds. It wore very well for me without any flaking action, smudging, or fading and at the end of a a long day it looked as fresh first application.

Honestly, if you’re a little scared of gel eyeliners this is a good starting point for you as the formula glides onto lids like melted butter. The application is a breeze and you’ll have perfectly lined eyes in a matter of moments even if you’re a bit klutzy or shaky handed.

Love this!

The new packaging is just the frosting on this already great cake.

It’s available now at tartecosmetics.com

Looking forward to the swatches of it – this sounds like a great formula, and for some reason, I’m all into eyeliners at the moment!

  • Jade

Mmmmm, melted butter. I think I need this, you make it sound like it has no faults!

😀 best liner ever. had the original wild one and love it and this is just as fabs!

  • Sara

I can’t wait to see the swatch for the Splash color. Emeralds and teals are my favorite! That’s the one color I don’t have in gel liner yet (I bought a bunch of e.l.f. ones for $3 a pop).

  • Blee

Yes, I do need it 🙂 I have an older one that is a deep plum color and it was waterproof too and its (older gel liner of Tartes) gone. I been more into the gel liners lately and love them more than pencils. Thanks for the review and true anything that comes in turquoise Muse is a must have. LOL 😀

Thanks for the review Muse! This looks lovely. I actually need a new black gel eyeliner. I have mac’s fluidline in black but for some reason I don’t find it easy to work with.

    • the Muse

this is WAY nicer Nadia 🙂 glossy, smooth, so soft and creamy it glides on so lovely ;D

  • yelena

hmm I can’t say I like glossy black but the pic doesn’t look glossy.
by glossy I mean that rubbery finish like some liquid liners have…
i’m currently in love with smashbox jetset gel liner, any idea how these two compare?

smashbox is waterproof and matte black finish but lasts all day on me.
however it doesn’t come with a brush so the tarte has this advantage 🙂

I never liked jetset but used to like the pot liner they did prior to that (like a million years ago)! Jetset always went patchy for me so I had to line and reline. This is def a good deal glossier than other potted gels I own yelena 🙂

        • the Muse

yeah, there used to be a really old eyeliner they released, same concept as jetset, little firmer in texture, they no longer do it though!

  • Flavia Signori

I wish Tarte could ship to Canada… I don’t have contacts in US 🙁 Also, I’m in love with the black one this time… Splash is beautiful, yeah, it is, but… I really need a black one :/

Do you know any other eyeliner like this one? Can be the normal eyeliner or pen eyeliner… anything, I’m desperate (my pen eyeliner is over and my gel eyeliner isn’t great :/)

    xoxo

flavia can you get a hold of loreal’s new infalliable eyeliner? that stuff is amazings 🙂
