Aqualillies for Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 Hour Lipstick Summer 2013

Timeless is a new shade of Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 Hour Lipstick that launched with the new Aqualillies for Tarte Summer 2013 Collection.

Take a look!

Timeless is pretty appropriate for Summer as this is a lovely shade of orange-y coral. Tarte calls it a bright reddish pink but honestly, I’m getting more orange coral from it kids. The color is available for a limited time with Tarte’s new Summer 2013 Aqualillies collaboration collection.

It’s one of those perfect shades of orange for the Summer months and lends a warm coral splash to lips that can be worn full on bold color due to the pigment they pack into this little lipstick or sheered out (as I wore it below) with a little clear gloss on top!

Tarte introduced Glamazon Pure Performance Lipstick in the Fall of 2012. It’s a cream finish lipstick with a full color pay off yet a hydrating formula matte finish. The texture quite reminds me of Revlons Ultimate Suede Lipsticks but not nearly as drying.

It has a buttery smooth glide across lips with a semi-matte finish that adheres softly to lips and doesn’t accentuate finer lines or drier areas. Sadly, they don’t quite last twelve hours on me but I do get a solid five out of them with a staining effect that lasts well after the lipstick has worn away. The first application is typically soft and smooth but gets a little drier as the day progresses so I tend to wear clear gloss on top as this not only keeps things fresh but really adds some extra pop to the already bold color.

Timeless is just as pigmented as all the other colors I’ve tried in the line. It yields opaque color on a single stroke for full color coverage.

Timeless is worth discovering if you’re loving the orange-coral trend that follows us around in the Summer months.

It’s available now at TarteCosmetics.com or Sephora and Sephora.com

That lippie looks so beauuuutiful on you! Great brightening effect! I’m gonna check it out, I was already half sold when you said “staining effect”. That’s exactly what I use mattes/semi-mattes for, to get a stain. Did the color wear away evenly though? So that there’s no ungodly ring on the edges of the lips?

    • the Muse

it does a fairly even stain on my lips thank god. I totally know what you mean about ring around the lip lol! but this is fairly even, no patchiness, and no flaking after it wears off. Just an even stain.

In that case this is a Need. Thanks Muse! I hope it looks as good on me as it does on you 😃

aw shucks you’re good for my ego joy! 🙂 <3! I'm sure it's going to look amazing on you!

  • Courtney

Ooooo, I like it on you!! I think it looks better on than the hand swatch. I might have to check it out in person, first. Thx, muse!!

  • Blee

It does look coral and you wear it well, Muse very pretty 🙂 These AC lip sticks are my HG from Tatre. I need this one, too. 😀

I agree… LOVE the colour on you! I will say I love Tarte lipsticks for all the reasons you listed. AND there’s no icky scent or flavour.. bonus! the only downside is the price is a tad higher than other lipsticks and the case is a tad bulky and plasticy (i think i just made up a word). TARTE is a fav! give them a try peeps!

    • the Muse

barb I kinda liked the packaging when they first released but I agree, little bulky and hard to store! :-/ aside from that great lippie!

  • Vickie

I received my “Timeless” last week..I had no idea it would look so “bright” debating on sending it back…I’m not a “bold” lip person..I like neutrals and pinks….BUT It looks GREAT on you..I believe you can put any color on and look beautiful…..

    • the Muse

aw shucks thanks vickie! blush! you’re too kind! wear a little gloss on top of it! It sheers out quite nicely, the shade is def major pigmented 😀

  • Kristen

Looks fab on you! I love the color. I think I may pick it up at the VIB sale at Sephora. Along with the Smashbox Heat Wave eyeshadow palette & Laura Mercier creme eyeliner!!

    • the Muse

omg need the heatwave palette too *adds to list* almost forgot about that!

      • Kristen

I actually haven’t seen it in person, but the colors are gorgeous! I wonder how comparable the colors are to the Lorac Pro Palette (which I have and love).

        • the Muse

me either! so def will haul during 15% off ;-D w00t! mmm they seem warmer than the Lorac PP palette!

  • sarah

It would be nice if you didn’t always wear so much gloss over lipstick you swatch. It makes it impossible to see what the real finish looks like.

  • Cindy Ramirez

Oh it looks so creamy and yummy! Looks amazeballs on you <3

    • the Muse

aw shucks you flatter me because you want access to my superhero pr0n collection! I know your evil ways!

Hi Muse! I was at the drugstore today looking at the Maybelline Vivids lipsticks, and swatched the Vibrant Mandarin, and I immediately thought it looked very similar to Timeless!!! Do you think it’s a possible dupe? I love the Timeless color, but it’s something I will wear so little, I can’t justify the $26 price tag without feeling guilty… Thanks!

    • the Muse

hi nicole sorry for the delayed reply! I’m glad you found a cheaper dupe for Timeless 😀

  • Nicole

Hi Muse! After much research effort, I ended up buying the Maybelline Vivids lipstick in Vibrant Mandarin. I compared swatches with the Tarte Timeless lisptick sample I got from Sephora, and I have to say these are really close in color. Vibrant Mandarin is a little brighter and more orange, but it is also more sheer, so when applied on my lips, it comes off a little more pink because some of my lip color comes through (I have pigmented pink lips). The Timeless, although not as neon in the tube, actually comes off brighter and more orange on my lips just because it is so ridiculously pigmented! I ended up swatching one half of my mouth with the Vibrant Mandarin and the other with Timeless, and I could honestly not tell the difference between them. Vibrant Mandarin also stains the lips very heavily, so you do not need to build up the color too much to get it to look an intense coral color. It also doesn’t feel very heavy on the lips like Timeless. And the stain stuck around pretty much all day and into the next morning, with more or less even fading (no ring around the mouth).

So, for my purposes (probably wearing this color once or twice a month) I am very pleased with my dupe selection!!

I hope I explained myself well!!!
