Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick Review & Swatches

Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick Summer 2013

Avon doesn’t need me to rave its new Totally Kissable Lipstick but I will anyway! Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick ($4.99) launched recently in sixteen shades for a mere $4.99 each.

Avon has always had a supreme lipstick formula and one that is so incredibly budget friendly that you can’t resist hauling all the shades…I mean you can have five or more shades of a great lipstick formula for the price you’d paid for one high end.

Yeah, I think we has a deal here.

Take a look!

I’ve always been completely swept away with Avon’s lipstick formulas and textures. For many years now they release different formulas and finishes each season and each season I tend to indulge because they are one of thee best budget lipsticks around. Where can you get pigment rich lipstick with an excellent formula for as little as five dollars each?

Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick is a full coverage lipstick infused with fruit enzymes and a blend of natural oils that keep lips hydrated, smooth, and moisturized through the wear. They have a soft, smooth easy glide on lips and give full color coverage on a single stroke.

Coy Copper, Berry Smooth, Plum Intrigue

I find the texture very moisturizing with a glossy finish and plenty of shine. The wear time varies but I got a solid four hours without migration issues or fading. The color stayed rich and true plus it was just as moisturizing an hour and even two after as it was during my first application.

Totally Kissable Lipstick is a treat of a formula with a deliciously rich texture that keeps lips moisture while providing gorgeous color at a very affordable price. There’s even a new Totally Kissable Lipgloss if you want extra shine!

I got these on sale – 5 for $10 and I LOVE them. These are my go-to lipsticks! I usually have to touch them up halfway during the day but I don’t mind, because they just glide on. And i have no issues with moisture – they really do keep your lips smooth and soft!

I got make out red and like it, but for everyday wear, I would need to blot it down. I also bought lovey dovey pink, and it looks ridiculous on me. I’m fair-light and cool (but can go neutral with eyes and cheeks), and it looked like an 80s frosted lipstick on me. I felt like I just needed some baby blue eye shadow to go with it. ;) I do like the texture, so I might just use it as a lippie for around the house or at night. Not that I don’t have a million designated for that, already! Lol. Thanks for the review!!

Thanks Muse! I love Avon lipsticks. I find them on par with Estee Lauder and other department store brands. I love the colors you chose too. I am going to pick up a few of these. We are moving back to the mainland and I can now order without having to pay hefty shipping and can get items they won’t mail to Hawaii!

New follower :) started reading your blogs after I saw your Queen Helen post! I have a picture sent earlier to me by my boyfriend regarding high levels of lead in lipsticks. Avon was one.. It could do some damage from what I saw of the pictures. Not sure how true it is but better safe than sorry. Have a nice day!

hi vanessa good to meet you thanks for following :) from my understanding those claims were bogus and studies showed there wasn’t enough lead in any of the lipstick tested to cause damage.

I used to love Avon lipsticks — I most have had 30 of them, between my makeup kit at home and my desk at work (a coworker used to call me Luscious Lips because I was always re-applying my lipstick — with all the tea I drank at work it came right off on the mug). And they were so easy to get, because several coworkers sold the line. But I’d fall in love with a color, and then they’d discontinue it, so I got away from them when I found Bare Escentuals in 2003. And now they’re discontinuing the lipsticks I love so much (100% Naturals) in favor of the more expensive Moxie. I’ve been test-driving some drugstore brands to see what might be a suitable replacement when my BE stash is gone.
