Bobbi Brown Peach Retouching Powder Review & Swatches
Do you believe in magic? Well, the new Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder that launched in six color correcting shades this Spring are indeed magic. These powders address every single little (and large one) that might bother you about your skin.
Dark spots, fine lines, redness, oil, whatever your issue Bobbi Brown has an app powder for that.
Let’s take a look at the Peach Retouching Powder.
Bobbi Brown Peach Retouching Powder shouldn’t blow my mind all that much. Shrug it’s just a peach powder right? Supposedly peach warms up lighter skin tones while evening out tanned and medium to dark skin tones. This is a paler peach loose powder with the consistency of an HD powder giving it that smooth, silky feel.
The joy here is it never looks cakey nor powdery and applies so sheer yet perfects so much you’ll pretty much see the results at a single application. I started using the paler peach to set my concealer at first. A simple swipe under my eyes after concealer application set it, forget it, and brightened up the area slightly.
Far be it for me to WANT to actually use powder on my face but I started swiping it down the sides of my nose, a little on my upper cheek bones, and before you know it this led to a little buffering all over my face using Bobbi’s Sheer Powder Brush. Flash forward a month or more later and suddenly this became a stable in my makeup regime.
Having drier skin I tend to avoid powders much of the time so I’m surprised I embraced this so much. It actually doesn’t really add warmth for me but works in a reverse fashion by brightening. The delicate almost pastel version of peach applies transparently but seems to also apply a little brightening to my skin while setting my makeup and perfecting my entire look.
I dunno if you need another powder in your stash but if you do I’d recommend checking out Bobbi’s new Retouching Powder. If all the colors are as good as the peach one I’ll be a happy girl indeed.
On the downside they are a little pricey at .16oz for $36 ouch! But hey it is Friends and Family Week so at least you can get 20% Off!
