Bobbi Brown ReTouching Powder Pink

The pink Retouching Powder from Bobbi Brown is one of six color correcting shades that were recently introduce that address skin tone discolorations and help to reduce the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, fine lines, redness, and other imperfections.

I recently reviewed the peach powder for you and absolutely adored it and was eager to try the other shades.

Take a look!

Bobbi Brown Pink ReTouching Powder counteracts swallow undertones in fair to medium skin tones. I don’t think I really have a swallow complexion but my skin does lack something when I am not wearing makeup. I consider it duller and lacking a glow without make up in place and even dare I say its lackluster without blush or some sort of stain.

Again, this Pink shade wasn’t something I expected to wow me, I felt the same about the peach and it surprised. The powder has the consistency of an HD powder with a silky, finely milled texture.

Part of the joy of the powder is it never looks cakey! It doesn’t adhere to my patchy dry areas and has a smooth, soft finish. I like using these powders with the Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder Brush for best application, seriously, this brush changed my mind about face powder in a major way!

I started using the Pink to brighten up my complexion. It’ll be a little too sheer on darker medium tones but should work good on fair and medium skin tones. It adds a dusky shade of pink to cheeks and takes dullness and eases it with a healthy glow!

I guess in a way you might question why you’d need such a sheer, subtle touch of color on cheeks. Personally, for myself, I’d buy it if you’re more of a natural girl that needs a little glow but nothing overly done. I’d also purchase it if you want something to add a pink glow to cheeks but without a ton fuss or makeup for say running errands or for a natural, mostly makeup-less day!

Personally I have drier skin and tend to avoid powders but Im surprised I’m liking these Retouching Powders so much!

I’m not sure if you need another powder in your stash but do buy it for the reasons listed above if you’re looking for something to easily add a little healthiness to your face!

Unfortunately they are a little pricey at .16oz for $36!

The All Natural Face (online) has 7 mineral powders they call “glows”. Sounds like the same concept. Their big 30g jar is only about $18. They have samples, too. Looks like it’s $3.45 for a sample of all 7 on the glow page, but under “More” there’s a “Sample” category that has them for $1.73. I haven’t used them, but if you like the light powders, that may be another good one to try.

You wouldn’t happen to have the yellow one…I am curious about that. I have the NARS powder for now, which I love, but yellow powder sounds interesting…

I do indeed haven’t tried yet, will try to test that this week for ya…! you have the loose nars powder? or the pressed?

Have you ladies tried the Banana powder? I like it a lot! It works great.
