Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm Review

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balms

You’re very familiar with my habit of not touching up my lipstick and gloss which is why Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm is my bestest of best friends. We get on famously together and touch up is as easy as a swipe and go. I cannot be arsed to apply my lipstick and gloss as the day progresses, I’m just not that girl. As much as I love makeup I feel like it’s a chore to reapply my entire lip look when it wears away.

But lip balm?

I got time for that!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

I LOVE these and strongly recommend you love them too as soon as you can possibly spare the time to do so. Available in a range of nine shades for as little as $7 each this gorgeous little balms soften lips with a splash of healthy color. The natural wash of color is one plus but the fact they have this buttery, melty texture that glides onto lips easily leaving behind a nourishing, softening layer of color makes these a total win for me.

The soft texture doesn’t tug on my lips and natural shea butter and botanical waxes leave my lips soft and hydrated through the wear. Color is sheer on certain shades but others offer nice buildable color so you can definitely get a good deal of tint from this simple balm!

Highly recommended them!

If you want a good for you lip balm with a pop of color and a highly hydrating formula I do recommend Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm!

Obsessed!

Anyone use these?

Do share!

P.S. Pink Blossom is a MUST have!

I love these but sadly after a day or two my lips start to itch and peel. :-\ All of Burts Bees lip products have lanolin and I have a horrible reaction to them all. The colors are beautiful though and I’d love to be able to use them!!!

  • Aditi

Awesome! Just noticed that the Burt’s Bees website have a $1.50 off on all lip color products, tinted balms included.

  • Britanie

I am OBSESSED with these. My favorite is Hibiscus. You have to try it – it’s the perfect color. My second favorite is Rose and then Sweet Violet. I use all three constantly and I like to mix them too! I am dying to try Pink Blossom but it’s always sold out at stores! Great review 🙂

    xo,
    Britanie

    • the Muse

thanks britanie! wuite excited to try hibiscus after your rave and other folks!

  • Simone

I love the way these feel on the lips!!
I have Rose in my purse at all times 🙂

  • Moon

Muse do you have to use makeup remover for these? Some days I am lazy and just want to use tinted balm but worry I look even worse (like Oh this girl only remembers to put makeup on lips but forgot the rest of the face? Lol!)

    • the Muse

no moon, it’s just a lip balm no reason to remove with makeup remover?

  • Courtney

Love these!! Since I’m a lippie wh@r3, I don’t use them a ton, but they are easy to apply without a mirror, are very moisturizing, and have good color pay-off for a balm. And, yes, pink blossom is DI-VINE. 😉

    • the Muse

glad I’m not alone there I thought pink blossom was awesome ;D

      • kimkats

Say Muse – which is the shade that’s second from the left on your arm? Is that rose? Whatever it is I MUST haz it! Nao! those look great!!

      • Tinkibell

Thanks so much! That’s enough to give me an idea of how they look…and now I must go get them all!! lol

          • Tinkibell

Wanted to let you know I picked up the Pink Blossom and Caramel Daisy today…and now I have to go back and get more! LOL

Pink Blossom is my new HG of tinted lip balms! EXACTLY the pink I was looking for and love the formula!

I never would have paid attention to these without your review, so THANK YOU! ; )

I can’t wait to try some other colors!

          • the Muse

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 😀 hehe! pink Blossom is kinda the bloody awesome 😀 you’re MOST WELCOME 🙂

  • Kira

I love them! Have you tried Tiger Lily? It’s a peachy coral, but I think it might have been discontinued. It’s a lovely product!

    • the Muse

not yet kira but the shades I didn’t try I ended up ordering online, tiger lily prob being one! 😀 can’t wait to try I love peachy corals!

  • Chelsea

These are my go-to everyday lip color. My favorite is Hibiscus, but I might have to try Blush Orchid. I have Caramel Daisy and Rose too.

  • Becca C

I love this lip balm. I find it a little on the pricier side, but it’s two of 3 lip products I have in my purse everyday. Definitely an easy way to get a pop of color.

  • Nat

I haven’t tried these, but I do like the sparkly ones (in the skinnier tube?); the colours are gorgeous and I like the minty smell of them. 🙂

  • Amy

Love these also. Pink blossom and Hibiscus are my favourites. I’ve been using them for over a year now. Last year, when Target put them on “Clearance”, I immediately called the company and begged them not to discontinue these lip balms. The best ever!

  • maryann

Aren’t they great? I’ve got sweet violet and will probably get some of the others.

  • Emily

I got the pink blossom shade several months ago and although the shade is pretty I just can’t stand the scent of these I can’t keep them on my lips even, the texture doesn’t suit me either. I much prefer the palladio tinted balms, I enjoy the smell, the textur, and most of the colors. Have you tried palladio tinted balms? If you haven’t theyre a dollar off at sally’s til the 30th.

  • Miss_Silk

MORE BALMS~!?!?!?!?!? LOL I would like to see a picture of all your lip balms…it must look amazing O_O

    • the Muse

they have a more moisturizing formula, the darker shades have more pigment as well.

  • Galia

Oooh, glad to hear you like these! They’re one of my can’t-live-without products 🙂 Oh, but have you tried hibiscus? I only have hibiscus and rose right now, and hibiscus is the much more pigmented of the two. Just a thought! ^_^

    • the Muse

haven’t galia but ordered it and the other shades from the website hehehehe ;-D

  • Christina

I’m on the same page with you, Muse, as I don’t often bother reapplying or retouching my lipstick but these guys rule! And you cannot really buy one that’s a “bad” color…I’ve tried pretty much all the colors and they are sheer enough to get away with in any shade, but opaque enough to notice some color. Love ’em, too!

    • the Muse

I agree! even the camel/beige shades looked good on me and those are typically shades I’d avoid ;-D loves ’em!

  • Bethany

LOVE these lip balms! My favorites are Pink Blossom, Caramel Daisy and Honeysuckle. Always carry them with me in my makeup bag in my purse.

  • Vi

Oh dear gods. Do I need another tinted lip balm? Absolutely not, considering I’m more of a lipstick girl. Do I want these? YES SO BADLY. I’m trying to justify it by saying I might find my perfect pretty MLBB color here…. XD

  • Citygirl907

These sound amazing, I have been wanting to buy one but can’t decide which one I want! Which one do you think gives the best colour payoff?
    Cheers 🙂

  • Michelle

OH MY GOD these babies are like my holy grail lip balm. nothing conditions my lips like these seriously though they improve my dry chapped lips so nicely! I have it in pink blossom and hibiscus. beautiful colors! i could get away with using hibiscus only without a tint underneath and it would still color my lips nicely!

  • valetinasugar

    Hi Muse!

I’ve defintley tried these and I love them! They smell so good too! I wouldn’t describe them as a fruity punch but it’s something similar. I like they they smell great taste, good, and condition.

I have a question. Where do you recommend buying off of Sasa or Yesstyle. Which would you say is more secure??

    Thanks a bunch!

    • Laura

I’m not the Muse, but Sasa is perfectly secure, cheaper, and faster with shipping in my experiences.

  • Laura

I absolutely adore these- the Hibiscus shade is a ‘my lips but better’ sort of thing. I also adore the Red Dahlia color!

  • Amber

I love other lip balms from Burts Bees and had wanted to try these for some time but couldn’t bring myself to spend $6+ on one tube. Today I found a 2 pack that had Rose & Pink Blossom for $4.99 at Ross! Thought I’d share in case anyone else can find this great deal at their local Ross! 🙂

  • Danielle

    I have a yellow-ish tone :/
Fair asian skin if that helps :p
I would love to try pink blossom but idk if it would look good against my skin :/ I’m scared to try baby pink lippies but at the same time they look so inviting to me such cute pretty shade help :v
    Nice blog btw 🙂
