eDiva Beauty Oranizer Review

eDiva Beauty Oranizer

I was recently sent an eDiva Beauty Organizer to review and it couldn’t come at a better time considering I’m starting my Spring makeup clean up. The eDiva Princess Makeup Organizer is one of two massive acrylic drawer units offered by the brand to help get your massive stash of makeup into order.

Granted, my own makeup collection is way larger and I’d probably need another fifty of these units to actually house my entire stash of makeup but for essentials this is ideal. Boasting six drawers one of which is deep enough to hold MANY a polish bottle these units are made from heavy clear acrylic so you not only have easy access to your makeup but also can find what you are looking for easily thanks to the clear casing.

Take a look!

eDiva Makeup Oranizer

The eDiva Princess Beauty Organizer is the larger of the two storage units that eDiva offers. This unit is 12 inces wide and 16 inches high with six drawers one of which is a very large, deep drawer that you can stand nail polishes up in or store larger palettes and compacts. Since I’m not a nail girl I stored larger palettes in the bottom drawer.

What’s so incredible about the unit is how much product you can store in such a small space. Granted, the drawer organizer is NOT small by any means so you do need an area on your vanity or in your wash room or beauty closet to stash it however, considering the amount of makeup that can be stored inside the unit is actually a space saver.

I can store 24 full size Laura Geller Blush n Brighten compacts in a single drawer stacked two on top two or 36 Tarte Blushes stacked three on top of three. 120 MAC Lipsticks can fit into a single drawer comfortably stacked two on top of two or you can even squeeze more in however, 120 is a good number without squeezing them too tightly together. Square compacts like ones from Chanel can fit four a row, stacked two on top of the other, in three rows in one drawer making a total of twenty four palettes stored. The possibilities and storage options are obviously endless but this is just an example of how much stuff can fit into a single unit. The storage unit also comes with x-dividers which is great for lipgloss and lipstick separation.

The units aren’t only for makeup though. You can store documents in them, craft supplies, brushes, hair supplies, etc…….they are versatile enough to pretty much match any decor and hobby you have.

This particularly unit offers Free Shipping and costs $297 with three payments of $99. The smaller eDiva Dutchess is $198 with Free Shipping and three payments of $66.

I have seen similiar units on E-bay however, they aren’t as big and they are actually around the same price as the eDiva Dutchess. I realize they are quite expensive units but if your stash is smaller it might be an excellent solution to storing your entire makeup collection in one spot! Or it even makes a great place to store your everyday regime…perhaps one drawer for skincare, one for your prepping products, another for makeup you use daily, brushes, etc….

Both units are available at www.ediva.com

How do you store your collection?

man this looks great. you had me at the amount of LG blushes that fit in one draw! I’d love to own one but I have to agree with you & the comment above that the price is kind of crazy. but i did enter my email on the site in hopes to win one. thanks for review my friend and happy monday =)

    • the Muse

Happy Monday D! 🙂 hope you had a good weekend! Price is above budget sadly 🙁 I did like the three payment option, that always tempts me lol especially when QVC does it ;-D GOOD LUCK! I didn’t realize they had a contest!

      • diane

my weekend was nice i hope yours was too!!=)
oh wow i missed the 3 payment option. i’d totally go for that if i didn;t know i can get little draws in target haha. yes on their site it said if you sign up for their newsletter you are entered to win one! =) =)

        • the Muse

it was great thanks for asking chica 😀 I didn’t even see that I could use another one lol totally need to enter 😀

  • Melissa

This is way too expensive in my opinion! Additionally, while in theory I like the idea of being able to readily see everything, I think in actuality the visual clutter would annoy me! I personally use Itso storage containers to store my makeup collection. They’re available at Target, they’re very inexpensive, and they come in a variety of colors/patterns. Also, there’s so many more customization options. You can choose your own compartment sizes/shapes, so you can customize it to suit your individual needs. Muse, I’d love to somehow post or send you a picture of the storage system if I can!

    • the Muse

i think I might know the ones you mean Melissa, but I don’t think Target makes them anymore. They were white stackable cubes with patterned drawers with different compacts right?

      • Melissa

They’re stackable plastic cubes that come in different colors, and you can select different compartments to fill it with… They have plastic and fabric and even wicker ones! I have black plastic bins with alternating pink and black fabric compartments! Unfortunately they’re only sold in stores now (not online), but they are still available! They seem to come and go every year around the fall, because they work really well for kids going off to college. But I just picked up another set this weekend after receiving my VIB Chic Week haul from Sephora! I was showing everything to my husband, and he asked me where I was going to put everything. I said in my new storage containers! He then asked where I was going to put everything when I run out of room for storage containers… To which I said in my new bathroom! 🙂

        • the Muse

I think I know the ones you mean! I love those but I never see them in my store anymore! use my contact form I’d love to see your storage btw! 😀 LOL! tell him don’t worry, we FIND and make room for beauty lol!

  • Alex

I’m like an organisation junkie, take me to the container store or even to a place like office depot and I am like happy for the rest of the month, lol. Buuut as lovely as this is it’s expensive. I’ve got a few acrylic containers and they’re not as large at this [half the size actually], but they’re less than a fourth of the price.

Pass for me. But let me also say it’s no joke when you say you love blushers is it? Oh my gosh, you are insanely amazing. Tarte’s dollface is the perfect colour for me so I’ve got that one, a few others that are virtually the same colour with different finishes and that is about it 😡

    • the Muse

gawd I adore the container store 😀 I can get lost in there for HOURS on end ;-D we should shop together alex lol! hehe yeah, I def love blushes ;-D

  • Cj

Morning! Do you know a small table top organizer that I can store my daily things in?

  • Alicia

I got a similar three drawer organizer from wal mart for 15 bucks. It is smaller, with only three drawers, instead of six, but that’s all I need. (I’d guess they’re roughly the size of the bottom drawer, so larger than smaller) The sides are see through purple (so you can see everything, but also hides if it gets a little dirty), and the fronts are 100% clear.

  • Louise

Wow I need this! I’m surprised at how many things you can store.

    • the Muse

are they difficult to put together anni? RIGHT! good excuse haha!

      • Cj

Raise your hand if you’d pay double if ikea shipped the stuff assembled

        • the Muse

triple! I’d pay triple if it was put together! I literally have to beg Martin to come over and put together anything I buy from Ikea and he sits on the floor and moans about it the entire time. I’ve practically sliced a finger off folding down those stupid helmer pieces. We put together another shelf for my upstairs office and I ended up knocking his glasses clear off his face and practically giving that boy a concussion while we were trying to swing the shelves together on the unit. if it wasn’t so tragic it would have been funny as hell. He looked like he didn’t know what hit him as I collapsed on the floor laughing. It was a very clark kent flinging his glasses off type of moment. Seriously they intentionally make things difficult to put together, it’s a conspiracy!

          • Cj

Lmao! My uncles like a handy man of sorts so he’s good at that kinda stuff but it takes him foreverrrr to do it lol. My last ikea purchases were stuck in their boxes for over a month before he got around to putting em together lol. You got my last email with the address right?

          • the Muse

GOT IT just checked. good because I can use UPS now ;-D makes it easier with a large box. hey anyone that puts it together for free is still AWESOME lol ;-D

      • AnniLau

The one I bought was pretty easy….basically one big box and 6 smaller ones. The drawer rails were happily pre-installed, so I didn’t have to mess with those.

        • the Muse

that isn’t bad! phew sometimes they come in two million parts!

    • Tammie

IKR I put together my helmer, what a pain…FLAT PACKED METAL DRAWERS, they are not kidding around haha, had to bend it and everything! I need another helmer but they are a lot of trouble to put together.

      • the Muse

AMEN sister. same here. first one I did, second one I would not touch, left Martin to it. Got me mad because he had it done in 10 minutes while I struggled with the first one. That stuff is dangerous to put together!

        • Tammie

Haha yeah…I’d feel the same way, it probably took me an hour to do and I didn’t find it mentally challenging or anything…just fiddly…

    • blueraccoon

I”m planning on buying that, but the taller 9-drawer version. And getting 2. *g* Plenty of room to grow on, right? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50192822/ Two of these are less than that clear thing, and I think will hold a *ton* more. And I have friends who like to assemble things. You *can* get IKEA to assemble things for you if you pay for it, but it is pricey.

      • AnniLau

I *almost* bought the 9-drawer, but the box was too flippin’ heavy.

        • blueraccoon

I’m planning on ordering online and getting it delivered *g* They’ll take the boxes to one room in your house so I have them take the boxes upstairs to my office. They can handle the boxes a lot easier than I can, that’s for sure.

  • Sara

I have realized as much as I love’s all my mu I prefer it to stay in my vanity drawers hidden…Wonder why acrylic drawers have to be priced so high…Off topic Muse, I am in love with my it cosmetics cc cream…Dare I say HG? LOL!

    • the Muse

sara I’m feeling the same about it too 😀 I have a review upcoming shortly ;D

  • Alanna

rofl the price on this is ludicrous. I have a $20 set of drawers from the office supply store that is easily as big as this, if not bigger.

  • Sabriel

Whaattt? $300?! If I had that kind of money in my beauty budget, I would bust down the doors at Sephora and load up on actual makeup.

  • Taylor M

WOW! I was literally thinking last night need one of these..and now I can see I definitely need one of these. Thanks for the review!

  • Tammie

Too rich for my blood price-wise, though I do really want the darn thing.

But actually a Muji just opened up in my city so I am probably going to pick up some of their acclaimed (but smaller, iirc) acrylic drawers…if nothing else for my lip product collection which I never seem to be able to figure out how to store properly…

  • Kate

Uff da, and I thought the Sephora train case was too rich for my blood! >_<

Problem is, right now all of my makeup is in a gallon size ziploc bag, with all my lip stuff in a body shop holiday tin. I can never find anything, and my counter is soon scattered with makeup. Not a big deal now that I'm living by myself, but soon I'm moving in my with boyfriend, and he might not like every Bare Escentual power I own scattered about.

I've done something similar buy buying desk organizers to keep things organized, and I might do that again. Do you have any other tips to organize makeup, especially when someone doesn't have a whole sephora store in their bathroom?

    • the Muse

hey kate! def! target has those great five drawer rubber maid bins that are like $9.99-$12.99 each and they fit a TON of stuff.

  • JenJ

Oh Muse you tempte me so lol! Have everything in 3 drawer containers on my dresser. I have like 5 and have outgrown it. Have my eye on one of those 10 drawer storage carts. Found one on Amazon for about $35.

    • the Muse

those carts are great but a little bulky for me sometimes…! I had one and just had a hard time getting it to fit anywhere ;-D I really like the helmers and they are really budget friend ;D

  • Cindy Ramirez

These are so so pretty, but daaaayyum on that price! I use two large Sterilite 5-Drawer containers that are on both sides of my vanity. Easy peasey for me to get what I need, and super budget friendly. Hehe

  • amy

I’ve been trying to find the “right” system for my storage needs, regardless of price, and these seem *perfect*. The price is high, but I’m choosing to look at it fom a decorative standpoint. While I can get other systems for (alot) less, I don’t care for how they look. Now, if I could only see these in person, to decide if they’d fit into the built-ins in my bedroom closet… I have some smaller drawers in there, but they’re so small that things end up being placed in front of them, leaving a big jumbled mess that I keep having to move to get to said drawers…

  • ktb

I have my whole collection in an Ikea Alex drawer too. I love it 🙂

  • Kim

I wish they would send me one! I need something like this. It looks great and I just started beauty blogging this year. All of those products definitely add up. HAHA I’ll read what everyone else suggested (price 🙂

  • melissa

I’m on the price bandwagon here. This looks great but no way and i’m spending $300 on it. Thanks for the review. 🙂 oh and ps. I use hemlers for crafts storage I have 5 of tem and then I have 8 of the 6 drawer rubbermaids that are the same height as the helmers and for makeup I have 3 bug itso cubes with various drawers and containers plus to paint brush spinner racks on my countertop

    • the Muse

my pleasure melissa ;-D I have a ton of helmers too! they are just so great for storage ;-D

  • Veronica

It’s a nice organizer but way too expensive for what it is. A quick google search yields similar products that are far more affordable. I also dislike the fact that it doesn’t come with a drawer that inset specifically for lip items – why would I want them all stacked like that, rather than individually slotted where I can read the names on the bottom? It just seems like an odd oversight for something touted as a “beauty organizer.”

    • the Muse

actually it does come with one veronica I just didn’t use it but mentioned it in the review. it’ll stand the lipsticks up and you can see the bottoms. hope this helps.

  • Olivia

So cute, but pricy! Still, acrylic is a lot better than plastic drawers- it’s a lot more heavy duty! I store my stash in an IKEA Alex- I love it.

  • Christina J.

This is something I would love to have, but would never have the money to spend on. Maybe if I hit the lotto 🙂 I have all my makeup on my home “office” desk in a bunch of those desktop organizers (for pencils, paperclips, etc.), a four drawer rubbermaid, and a five drawer rubbermaid. I have been getting tired of it and might look for something different soon. I like to play around with organizing it all differently when I get bored. Thank you for the review. And WOW I would LOVE to play makeover at your place!!

  • Shelby

I have two IKEA Micke drawer units, one on either side of my desk with acrylic long thin(ish, prob 1 1/2″ wide) rectangle separators in each drawer. I would love to have acrylic storage so I could really display my makeup but I live with my boyfriend and he much prefers it stashed away so our room isn’t too girly.

I would however rather more thin drawers because I don’t like stacking things so the muji drawers are a better option for me.

  • Felice

$300 for an acrylic drawer is pretty…out there.
I’ve seen tons of nearly identical drawer units like this at various Japanese/Korean grocery stores for under $10.
Even the Container Store has comparable stuff for under $30.

But hey, as soon as I saw the Kardashians on the website, I immediately understood the crazy markup. 😉

  • Nat

I bought a repainted vintage vanity unit for $275. I bought some plastic organizer boxes from Staples, put my makeup in those, and then put the boxes in the drawers of the vanity (except for my eye shadow palettes – I keep those on top since there are too many to fit inside it, hee-hee). It looks sooo pretty.

*wants to steal Muse’s makeup* ;D

          • Nat

Ohhh, so I have to go through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then walk through the Lincoln Tunnel, right? 😀

          • the Muse

that’s about right and don’t forget a trip through time and space and across King’s Landing until you finally land at Muse-land ;-D

          • Nat

Ah man, that means I have to gas up the TARDIS! Might have to postpone this trip…

          • the Muse

you could always take the DeLorean, from my understanding it’s fuel efficient now.

          • Nat

LOLZ Oh Muse, you is my favourite fellow nerd. 😀

          • the Muse

*wink* ;-D you have no idea, if you did you’d run away screaming!

  • Justine

Seriously your makeup collection makes me drool, far more than food does haha! Tis the life of a beauty lover!

PS I seriously love your Tarte blush collection! Puts mine to shame, and I own quite a few! *obsessed*

  • Kimryan8

Woah! You have ALOT of tarte blushes! Awesome. I really don’t want to pay $300 for that. Then, when I get lazy and don’t want to clean up the glitter powder I spilled it will sit in there for weeks and then I’ll feel lazy about not cleaning it. I really need help with my storage but I don’t know what to do. I’ve been looking around and can’t really find anything I want.

Thanks for posting this and everyone else who responded, I have been googling everyone’s ideas!

  • lily

I have a small stack of a 8 drawer sterlite organizer from walmart. Its very small but fits a TON of stuff, and its completely clear and see through as well. I love the eDIVA but don’t have enough makeup to fill it at the moment…and for $300 I’d rather get some more makeup 😀

  • Monica

(SIGH) love acrylic drawers……. But you still have those Almay blushes! If I remember correctly those are horrid, aren’t they? I can’t throw any makeup away so I understand =)

  • maria

Can I tell you that I am salivating looking at all your makeup 🙂

  • Michelle Luna

I have an aqua Sterilite 7-drawer (3 huge bottom drawers, 4 small top drawers) where the second to top drawer houses random daily makeups, and then I have 10 vintage Caboodles that I just stack on the floor in front if it and they house my makeup by brand… (My UD one doesn’t hold everything though now that I’ve started collecting all the naked palettes! So it’s holding all my liners, shadows, and my collection of vintage Face Cases (I have 8) and I am currently using a shipping box from UD to hold all the Naked/Electric/Ammo/etc palettes). I also have one more Caboodle for my lip products, it’s the new pink one you can find at every Walmart, though it doesn’t even hold all my lip balms/glosses, nevermind lip colors, so I’m also using a bunch of Talenti gelato jars to hold my Lip Tars and lipsticks.
I would love to see everyone’s makeup storage setups! Swap ideas and all that… 😀

    • Isabella Muse

i like those sterlite draws they are so much nicer than rubbermaid ones 🙂 I agree I’d love to see how others do makeup storage!
