Hourglass Cosmetics No 28 Lip Treatment Oil Review

Hourglass Cosmetics No 28 Lip Treatment Oil 1

At $42, Hourglass Cosmetics new No 28 Lip Treatment Oil doesn’t come cheap but its just as luxurious and incredible as the Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum.

You NEED this.

Hourglass Cosmetics No 28 Lip Treatment Oil

If there was a gold standard for lip treatments I’m positive Hourglass Cosmetics No 28 Lip Treatment Oil would be it. This luxurious oil blend for lips is dispensed via a 24K gold plated tip with a formula that contains powerful actives that treat lip issues such as dryness with intense moisture.

The anti-aging formula combines the benefits of botanicals as well as vitamins to restore moisture to the delicate skin of your lips while supposedly reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Truly this is one of the most moisturizing lip oils I’ve had the pleasure of using. I think on a whole lip oils are a rarity to begin with and not many brands produce such a product which makes No 28 Lip Treatment Oil extra unique.

Like my much loved No. 28 Primer Serum, this product is enriched with 14 essential oils including Bois De Rose, Lavender, Geranium, Petitgrain, Lemon, Rosemary, Vanilla, Clove, Amyris, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Eucalyptus, Cedar and Rose Geranium; 10 lipid-rich plant oils, including Hazelnut, Kukui Nut, Rose Hip, Borage, Olive, Green Tea, Cherry Pit, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, and Evening Primrose; and is fortified with 4 Vitamins, A, B5, C and E. The 28 ingredients create a protective barrier for on lips.

The three powerful powerful actives include:

  • Saliporine 8, an extract derived from a hardy succulent, was shown to reinforce the natural moisturizing factor of the skin. Moisture levels in the skin increase by 6000% after applying it twice a day for 28 days.
  • Volulip, a blend of a plant extract and the natural peptide Pal-KMO2K, helps remedy internal and external lip texture. In Clinical testing, Volulip improved lip shape, softness, volume, and hydration for 69% of volunteers.
  • In clinical testing, K3 Viamerine has been shown to hydrate all three epidermal layers and reduce the depth and appearance of wrinkles.

The formula is free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic dyes and petroleum derivatives.

This has a similiar emollient texture as the primer with the same herbal fragrance (it smells like lavender and herbs). It has a super shiny clear finish on lips so it can be worn over lipstick or stains if you want but personally the best benefits are obviously bare lips. It feels incredible on. Very luxurious, very moisturizing! It make lips so soft and so incredible smooth at a single application.

As someone who suffers from dry lips and even cracked, chapped ones constantly this is a life saver. Yes, it is quite expensive but just like the primer it is an incredible lip oil well worth indulging in. If your lips need some VIP pampering Hourglass Cosmetics No 28 Lip Treatment Oil is the perfect product to get the job done.

The oil is available now Sephora.com and HourglassCosmetics.com and will be at stores including Sephora, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Space NK in May.

I always have dry flaky lips so this sounds like heaven.
Now the real problem is… This lip oil, or Bioshock Infinite?

My house is stocked full of junk food just waiting for me to hunker down and start playing. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like an amazing game!

I suffer from cracked lips as well. My beloved Too Faced extreme lip plumper does that to me when I wear it daily for awhile. I definitely need to look into this. Thanks for the review:)

Ooo it sounds divine! The only thing that turns me off is the possible lavender scent….I absolutely cannot stand the smell of lavender >< It gives me a migraine.

Oh my god this stuff is magic! I had a cut on my bottom lip, literally the day after I got this and used it, it was healed. Literally over night! So moisturizing and glossy I love it. Also wouldn’t it be amazing if hourglass made an eye cream with the same packaging?? That was literally all I could think about when I got it in my hands lol

I bought this a week or so ago because of your review, I probably never would have heard of it or thought it was worth the price otherwise but my lips were so raw and it saved them! Just wanted to say thanks!!
