It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Foundation Primer Review

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Foundation Primer

No. 50 Serum Foundation Primer is It Cosmetics new multitasking gem! It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Foundation Primer not only acts to prime your skin for makeup but also offers the benefits of an anti-aging serum.

Take a look!

It Cosmetics No 50 Serum Foundation Primer

Infused with a host of beneficial ingredients this primer slash skincare treatment prepares skin for makeup offering a hydrating finish and a fresh citrus scent.

It Cosmetics packs this in a pump jar packaging but also comes with a dropper if you prefer. The pump allows for the perfect amount of product to dispense without over doing it. I think if you liked and enjoy products like Hourglass No 28 you’ll enjoy this as it contains a host of over 50 essential oils, butters, botanicals, fruit, and plant based extracts as well as antioxidants and vitamins.

I admit I love Hourglass No 28 it’s HG (holy grail) for me but I must say that No. 50 has a better formula as it is easier to wear in both the Winter and Summer months. No 28 is a richer texture with a far more emollient texture where as No. 50 is a far quicker absorbing formula that’s more suitable for all seasonal weather.

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Foundation Primer Swatches

If you have drier or aging skin I’d recommend it for you. You can use it in place of your moisturizer if the weather is warmer or if you need more moisture go ahead and apply it over your normal moisturizer of choice and follow up with your foundation or bb cream and makeup.

It has a bright citrus-y scent that’s quite strong and pleasant but if you’re are sensitive to fragrance in your skincare beware.

I find the texture beautiful as it sinks in perfectly, offers a nice hydrating finish, and creates a smoother appearance for my makeup, softening patchy, flakier areas and allowing my makeup to apply with ease.

It can multitask as your daily moisturizer as well or as a serum prior to your night cream!

If you have dry skin I’d recommend checking this out. I love the idea of a multitasking primer that performs several tasks with skin loving ingredients.

Great stuff.

Nothing negative about this product.. but just FYI, pretty much any silicone based serum will function as a primer.. they just don’t label it as such, and it makes a lot more sense to apply a primer chock full of good stuff than just a layer of silicone. A money saving step as well since you can then either eliminate the primer or the serum (and the moisturizer depending on your skin type) from your routine. This one does have a lot of really lovely ingredients.. I find my skin really appreciates natural ingredients. I may have to check it out.

Muse – just an FYI – IT cosmetics has launched a CC cream. It was available as of last Friday exclusively on QVC. Haven’t tried yet but its getting great reviews. Would love to see you review it if you get a chance.

This sounds amazing! I would definitely use this without a moisturizer prior first though, especially for my oily skin in the summer. Does this feel kind of oily on? You said is sank into your skin, but I’m worried it might be too much for oily skin.

it’s def too strong for oily skin painted lady, better suited for aging/mature or drier skin hun!

Ugh….mainly silicones & petroleum by products. Making this a HELL NO for me. It absolutely blows me away that companies like It are oblivious to the fact that it doesn’t matter how good the rest of the ingredients are, if you wrap your face in silicones & petroleum by products, nothing Of the stuff that is actually GOOD for your skin is going to get through that crap. It’s a barrier of pure nastiness.
