Lorac CC Cream for Summer 2013

Lorac CC Cream

Lorac skipped right over BB Cream and is heading into the land of CC Cream. The new Lorac Color Correcting CC Cream promises to create flawless skin in a flash with six instant benefits.

Do you think they’ll successfully create a good CC Cream?

I have hope!

Lorac CC Cream ($28) is available in three shades and provides natural weightless coverage in a semi-matte finish that primes, brightens, moisturizes, soothes, and neutralizes redness with a formula that’s free of oil, silicones, fragrance, and parabens.

Any skin type can use this CC Cream and it seems like the perfect finish for the warmer weather ahead.

Benefits:

  • Tinted to color correct imperfections, discolorations, and redness.
  • Infused with red seaweed which naturally primes skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid moisturizes and retains moisture while helping diminish the appearance of fine lines.
  • Vitamin C brightens skin
  • Aloe, Chamomile, Calendula and White Peony soothes skin
  • Anti-aging antioxidants of Vitamins A & E, Green and White Tea keeping skin looking youthful and radiant.

Sounds like they might just have this one down eh?

I’ll be hauling!

It’s available today at Ulta.com as well as loraccosmetics.com

Ulta.com is giving samples of the CC Cream with any $25 Lorac purchase as well!

I like that companies are going the CC cream route. I have no expectations for a CC cream so I don’t get all disappointed when its not like the Korean goodies I purchase. This will be interesting to try out!

P.S. One week til my due date, being induced on the 10th if she doesn’t get here on her own!!

    • the Muse

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo congrats brooke congrats ;-D do you have a name already!?

      • Littlecreek81

Kahlan Devine Sulliavn Irish name for an Irish girl. The Legend of the Seeker reference doesn’t hurt either :). I’ve already bought her Wizard’s First Rule as her first book. LOL

        • the Muse

          that’s beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀 i likey! you’re a good geek mum!

  • Aida

This is quite exciting! I was looking into trying Tarte’s BB primer, but none of the stores around had the Light shade in stock, so now I might be more interested in this CC cream. I noticed that it does contain titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, but do you know if it’s supposed to have a good sun protection factor? I would hope it would be around SPF30… Just checked Lorac’s website and they don’t have it there yet.

    • the Muse

aida this is a list of the ingreds but they don’t actually label the SPF on the bottle so unsure (bolded the td)

my pleasure! odd td is there but they don’t actually list anything about it protecting skin from the sun…! launch date is today on their site so hoping to hear more!

          • Aida

Yeah, I can only assume that the amount of td is insignificant, thus not providing any significant SPF. That’s a bummer though. I might still have to go with Tarte, as I’m looking into a product like this (i.e. bb cream, cc cream, tinted moisturizer, etc.) with some coverage and natural sunscreen (chemical sunscreen breaks me out).

          • the Muse

especially with it lower in the ingreds list. bummed too, cc cream should have significant sun protection. Not sure if I mind too much though as I apply SPF anyway prior…! but they should have at least 30!

  • Liz Cat

Am SOOO glad i dont see them talking about mica and other shimmers! The us seems to have a hard time translating these asian beauty products, it seems bb creams turned into tinted moisturizers, and now cc creams into all over face highlighters. hopefully lorac will pull through!

    • the Muse

exactly my thoughts liz! seems the next generation is all about highlighting?! where in the world they got the idea I’ll never know!

  • blueraccoon

I am curious but afraid the ‘Light’ shade will be too dark for my pasty skin. Muse I am looking forward to your review (btw, thank you so much for your BB cream reviews! I was reading through them the other night and ended up buying the Skin Food Berry Berry Good Afternoon BB Cream based on your review, and then I bought some skincare from sasa also based on reviews, so…thank you for all of it, it’s been massively helpful and I know I can trust your reviews even though I have a different skin type.)

    • the Muse

hey blue! I am curious myself…I’m thinking the light might be too light for me and the medium to dark lol! prob fall inbetween review upcoming shortly. Aw my pleasure so so so glad you found some to love because of my reviews ;-D I really really am happy to hear. LMK how you make out with the Good Afternoon Tea one! They are interesting texture!

  • Angel

Hi Muse! Ok, dumb CC question. Can foundation still be applied on top of CC creams? I like the idea of them, but there is no way my skin can be transformed without some sort of medium to full coverage. I’m just wondering if that’s an option, or if I’d just be making a goopy mess of my face. I mainly wear powder foundations. Thanks!

    • the Muse

yea but you shouldn’t have to for a good BB/CC as it will provide plenty of coverage without the need for more 🙂 Most BB Creams have full coverage (CC are lighter coverage) so you def will be able to go without foundation 😀 I’m not sure how pigmented Lorac CC Cream will be but hoping it’ll be fairly decent coverage.

      • Angel

Ok, just ordered it in Light. I will report back 🙂 So happy to find a silicone-free option!

    • the Muse

mentioned in the post the shades juices 🙂 hope this helps!

      • JuicesnBerriez

Oh dear. I’m blind. So sorry. I skimmed and skimmed and surely didn’t see it. Thanks for responding. I know bloggers hate answering questions that have already been answered in the post. I try NOT to be one of those people. But I guess it happens to all of us every now and then. LOL.

On another note, I sent an email to Lorac to ask about the sunscreen ingredients. If I hear from them I will let you all know.

        • the Muse

that’s no prob 🙂 LOL I’ll be honest, please don’t hate me, but totally bugs me 🙂 when people ask what color is that and I clearly stated it. drives me bonkers. Please don’t hate me for that 🙂 it is three shades although they look kinda lightest in the promo images…supposedly they are sending me light and medium so I’ll swatch for you shortly. thanks that’d be fab! TGIF

          • JuicesnBerriez

I don’t hate you. Lol. It bugs me even as a reader. When I see it I just shake my head. Lol. So today I am shaking my head at myself. I will probably need the tan shade, but if you swatch the first two I’ll at least get an idea of how the shades are running 🙂

  • Dr. Jessica Tuttle

I just ordered the light shade. I am nervous it won’t match my very light skin with slight yellow undertones but I will let you know. I will definitely do a review on the product as well. I really hope it performs well, you can’t beat the ingredients. I love all the good stuff for your skin. Without all the bad stuff.

    • the Muse

I was nervous about these too Jessica wasn’t sure if light or medium would be best. I haven’t actually seen them yet. Hopefully you ordered from Sephora so you can return if it doesn’t fit your tone!
